About this deal

From Wall Street Journal best-selling author Devney Perry comes a small town, fake relationship romance. This book was a mystery/romance. I went into it completely blind which was the best way to do it. I had no idea where this book was going the entire time and it made for the best experience. The twists and mysteries in this book were so so so good it had me not able to put the book down because I needed to know what was going to happen. I am absolutely OBSESSED with the marriage of convenience trope right now…while they may have gotten married on a whim, they decide to stay married temporarily to benefit them both. Eloise needs her parents to finally hand over the Eloise Hotel, and another irresponsible move might derail those plans. Jasper had a difficult past with an ex, and needs Eloise to attend an event with him. To make this believable they immediately move in together and have to learn to live with each other. Their chemistry was off the charts from day 1, their communication not so much. They have to learn to talk to each other. They have to learn each other’s tell and cues. What do you think they learn? I think it might just be that they are head over heals in love with each other 😍

Until one of Griffin's ranch hands had stumbled across a body at the base of 'Indigo Ridge.' Supposedly another suicide. Winslow Covington is the new chief of police in Quincy, Montana. On her first night in town she has a one night stand, with what they call “Quincy royalty” also know as Griffin Eden. And Eloise is a powerhouse! She’s strong, feisty and determined, and I love how she handled Jasper, his moods, and their complicated situation. She goes toe to toe with him, and doesn’t let him walk all over her, and I absolutely loved her! I relate so much with Eloise and her word vomit tendencies. She’s so pure of heart and trusting, she was utterly perfect. Jasper is so complex and reserved, but you knew he was enamored with Eloise from the offset. He is also so underestimated but under the surface, is ridiculously caring and loyal. These two perfectly balanced and complimented each other. I adored them 🫶🏻 Living Room Ideas Read now if you’re looking for living room décor ideas for a more natural and modern aesthetic! So, as I said, Indigo Ridge is the first installment in Devney Perry’s new series called The Edens and, as you can imagine, is focused on the stories about the Eden siblings. This one starts with Griffin Eden’s story, the oldest sibling in the family. Griffin is the ranch manager, the brother who is always taking care of his siblings and a man not willing to compromise with any woman. Enter Winslow Covington. She is the new chief of police in Quincy, she is trying to fit in, and she happens to share a one-night stand with Griffin that is impossible to forget. These two fight against their continuous chemistry but it’s not that easy. Especially when they are forced to work together in a heartbreaking murder case. Lucy Rivers narration was perfection — she absolutely brought Eloise to life and was 100% the perfect choice! It totally felt like complete acting, she brought her all to this part and it was absolutely incredible! She made this audiobook! She is one of my fav female narrators and I think this is my fav of her performances. Now with that said, I did not love the male narration by Lance Greenfield. This was the first time I have listened to him and I wasn’t really a fan. I think part of it was that he didn’t fit what I expected for Jasper. That’s just personal opinion. From a more objective view, he was easy to understand, but it was almost as if he enunciated too much and it didn’t sound natural to how someone would speak in real life. It sounded very sharp and harsh because of the very clear enunciating. so, the author positions this book like enemies to lovers and it’s not even nearly it. it’s just one-night stand to lover or something like that. but they had absolutely no banter or tension. winslow(h) and griffin(H) both are super boring people and i’m not interested in them or their lives at all. they literally have no personality atp and i won’t even remember their names a week later. there was even a line about their chemisty being “off the charts”.. they’re such clowns. i just wanted to give eloise a hug the whole time. i related to her so hard. she gave so much of herself to everyone else but never felt good enough and jasper came right in and said 'none of that, you're perfect just the way you are.' our fave eden brothers got a little carried away with their sister and jasper stood up for her time after time. I loved Jasper´s and Eloise´s relationship, it gives of grumpy x sunshine vibes with her being all bubbly and talkative, having a big heart and being soft on peope, and him being all broody and grumpy. This is kind of a second chance romance as well, but I wouldn´t say it´s really a slow-burn, it´s more insta love but even as somebody who normally doesn´t really like that trope I have to admit that it was really cute. Jasper is such a book boyfriend. I mean get you a man who flies you out to Paris on a whim just because you say it´s your favorite city.....

During your commute: If you take public transportation or have a long commute, you may find it helpful to use that time to read. Fake dating/Fake marriage is my top tier romance trope. The tension, the feelings that develop that characters try to fight and the ultimate will they or wont they stay together anxiety (dont forget this is romance so they always will stay together!) Thank you Devney for not making Jasper and Eloise into a third act break up trope either - highly appreciate it when a story can avoid that.

A string of suicides mar the serenity of the place, at least a handful of young woman in their twenties have been taking their own lives and plummeting off a cliff side. Overall Pace of Story: Good until the very end. I never skimmed and I thought it flowed well otherwise.

Oh, what a fantastic read! A sexy, emotional, and gorgeously romantic story with an accidental marriage, a fake relationship, a strong heroine, an irresistibly grumpy hero, all the heat and all the feels. I loved this one! FromWall Street Journalbestselling author Devney Perry comes a small town, fake relationship romance . The romance, the mystery, the small town and their charismatic residents, all of it just hit the spot just right for me. We also get a sneak peek into the rest of the Eden siblings, and I can't wait to learn more about them in their books. Ngl, after reading Garnet Flats, I was hoping that Jasper was going to end up with Lyla but I'm glad her crush on him didn't really cause any problems in this. And when her and Eloise finally talk it out, she's not b***hy about it to Eloise. like are you actually kidding with this 🤢 he’s trying to hurt his ex by bragging about his sex-life with eloise?!there were definitely some scenes, especially in the beginning, where i was digging the whole “fake but real marriage” trope and the “fake married but friend’s with benefits”. it garnered some hot lines— Overall it was a really enjoyable read. It is a two POV book which we get to experience from Winn´s and Griffins POVs. The romance was sweet, the murder mystery was really good and with that I am looking foward to dive into Junper Hill.

Additionally, novels can offer insights into different cultures, historical periods, and social issues, providing an opportunity to expand your knowledge and empathy. although no one could possibly surpass foster’s record as an asshole, jasper is a distant second. NO WONDER THEY’RE BESTIES 🚮🚮🚮 This was so good. It was insta-lust (chapter one), which isn’t everyone’s thing, but I thought the author did it well. Sadly he was not. I did not enjoy reading this book . Some of the plotlines were very badly handled especially the conflict at the end. I think the author should have instead explored more of the Jasper and Eloise's family's dynamic and how he starts to enjoy their company. Also despite the OW not being actually present in most of the book, the whole journey of Jasper and Eloise got spoiled for me after Jasper confessed certain things to her like < spoiler >"marrying Eloise at the same venue where he and his ex wife got married , etc. From a personal standpoint, reading can offer a way to escape into different worlds and experiences, as well as to empathize with characters and their struggles. Reading can also promote relaxation, reduce stress, and improve cognitive function.
