About this deal

Baking Soda is seen as a common remedy. However we find that while Baking Soda can soak up spills, the Baking soda has difficulty preventing or removing stains. A palm sander can be rented at Home Depot and elsewhere, but the charge for a single weekend is about half the cost of buying the unit. DIY enthusiasts will find many other uses for the sander, so owning rather than renting is our recommendation. Simple care and maintenance using the best quality products is essential to preserve your stone’s beauty for generations to come. With a complete range of products including marble cleaning products, marble shine maintainer products, marble anti-slip treatment product, marble polishing powder and various other products to protect, clean and transform, Tikko Products has all the necessary tools to ensure durability of your precious marble stone. COVERAGE: Depending on the type of stone, expect coverage of approximately 500 to 1,000 sq. ft. per pound.

Create a paste with the polishing powder, either using a few mists of water or adding a few drops to the powder. On smaller surfaces we recommend polishing machines with approx. 1000 rpm. For floors, a one disc polishing machine with approx. 140 to 180 rpm, 40 to 50 kg, pressure of approx. 0,37 N/cm² to 0,52 N/cm² is necessary. Application Temperature: the temperature of the surface should be between 10°C and 25°C. Switch off underfloor heating.

Marble’s opulent sparkle is still there, hidden beneath a scuffed and murky surface but waiting to shine again. There are similarities between using a small palm sander and a pro-style floor polishing machine. It’s much harder though, and the risk of damaging the floor, walls and cabinetry is high for the inexperienced. Polish from Coarse to Fine Water is merely the medium that allows a buffer to distribute the tin oxide over the marble’s surface creating the shine. Please Note: sensitive surfaces such as wood, parquet, carpets, etc. must be protected against splashes. Some types of stone difficult to polish. Always try Lithofin MPP Marble Polishing Powder in an inconspicuous area prior to use. Deep scratches can not be removed.Wet the surface with plenty of water. Spread a small quantity of Lithofin MPP and immediately start polishing. When the product turns pasty, add some water and continue polishing until the desired gloss level is reached. Then immediately rinse the surface with Lithofin MN Power-Clean diluted 1:10 to 1:20 and remove the solution with a wet and dry vac or cloth. Do not allow any product residues to remain on the surface. Advice: it may be advisable to wet the surface with Lithofin MN Power-Clean rather than with water. This reduces the risk of matt stains due to splashes on already polished surfaces. On small areas, Lithofin MPP can be mixed with Lithofin MN Power-Clean to form a paste, which is easier to use.

Watering can: When using just the pads and then the polish, water is sprinkled onto the floor. A garden-style watering can works well. Monster Polishing Powder is also effective on Terrazzo, travertine, Limstone and Agglomerated stones. Durability– Both honed and polished marble are similar in this area. It’s a natural stone, so it’s tough. However, you must seal it to prevent etching and stains. Honed marble has a duller and rougher surface, so it doesn’t show imperfections as easily. Polished marble repels stains better because its surface isn’t as porous. Test to see if you must re-seal the stone periodically. Pour just over one tablespoon of water and let it stand for about 15 minutes. If things still look the same, you don’t need to seal your marble.DIY tip: Keep the lid on your polishing powder when not sprinkling it on the floor. This will keep moisture from getting into it and causing clumping. Regular Maintenance: To prolong the effects of marble polishing powder, incorporate regular maintenance into your cleaning routine. Wipe up spills promptly, use coasters or placemats to protect the marble from heat and scratches, and regularly clean the surface with pH-neutral marble cleaner.
