Do you use garland in your home? I love a good garland! I currently have no mantel in my home but I can always find use for a pretty garland. Today, I am going to show you how to make an easy Valentine’s garland. While looking for Valentine's day garland ideas we came across so many beautiful designs. Valentine garlands can come in different textures, lengths, colors, hearts, tassels, pom-poms, and so on. Chain 45, in top of heart sc, chain 6, sc in top of the other side of the heart, chain 12, sc in top of heart, chain 6, sc in top of other side of the heart, chain 12. Repeat until all hearts are joined, chain 45 fasten off.
And last here is a homemade doily heart garland we made that is so easy and cheap to create. You can make it with any color doilies or even alternate doilies to give it more color. After you have wrapped both sides of the pom-pom maker, this is where the sharp and pointed scissors come in. Place your heart in the middle of the fabric with one corner at the top of the heart. (I cut off the loop that was at the top of my hearts)

Adding a white lantern and votive holders with some red candles add some additional ‘understated’ Valentine elements. Using the glue where necessary, stretch and fold the velvet around the heart. Where needed, add glue and ‘anchor’ the velvet. Remember this doesn’t need to be perfect. While your glue gun is heating, cut your velvet into 6.5″ x 7″ rectangles. For my garland, I did five hearts. Cut a long piece of yarn for hanging the hearts. For a little extra detail, cut an extra length of string and twist the two pieces together.
