About this deal

An enthusiastic cook, Fearne released her first cookbook in June 2016: Cook Happy, Cook Health. Her next book, Happy, talks about her own experiences of happiness (including some of the not-so-happy ones), and was published February 2017. Fearne's third book, Cook. Eat. Love, was published in June 2017.

Fearne has also covered for Chris Evans on the Breakfast Show from 9–13 April 2018. In late 2018, Cotton sat in for Claudia Winkleman on Sundays. [28] This book covered a great deal, but unfortunately it didn't go into much detail - this left me a little disappointed. Cotton had interviewed some of her favourite practitioners in each field - but these were people she has previously had on her 'Happy Place' podcast, so I felt a bit short changed. I listen to the podcast, and love the podcast but I wasn't expecting half of this book to almost be a transcript of the podcast. Bigger Than Us by Fearne Cotton is a self-help book that explores the power of spirituality to find meaning in a messy world. Cotton weaves her own journey of discovery with the insights of renowned spiritualists and thought leaders, offering readers a variety of tools and practices to help them connect with their own inner wisdom. My relationship with love has changed over the years. At times I merely viewed it as something to get drunk on. I would crave kisses and human touch and the thrill of feeling my heart flip upside down with lust. An intoxicating, heart-thumping love was all I desired and the only kind of love I recognised outside of the grounded, long-lasting love for my family. Self-love was not in my orbit for a long time. I assumed I would like myself more if I was loved by another, maybe even lots of others. As my TV audience increased, I expected to find more acceptance of the bits of me I didn’t like. Maybe if others loved my insatiable enthusiasm that I felt out of control of, I would like it more too? Maybe if my characterful nose and bulbous eyes were applauded, I would find it easier to look in the mirror without judgement? I learned that lesson the hard way and have only really started to understand the power of self-love and acceptance recently. Fearne Cotton accuses BBC jubilee critics of being 'huge bullies' ". The Guardian. London. 8 June 2012.She has hosted parts of the Red Nose Day telethon for Comic Relief (2005, 2007, 2009 and 2011) presenting several strands alongside Jonathan Ross and Lenny Henry.

In 2007, Cotton became the first regular female presenter of the Radio 1 Chart Show, which she co-presented with Reggie Yates for two years. She went on to present her own Radio 1 show, airing every weekday morning from 2009 to 2015. She joined BBC Radio 2 in 2016. From intuition and energy to the law of attraction, ritual, prayer and signs, Fearne explores positive ideas and exercises that are available to every single one of us. On 20 May 2006, she read the United Kingdom's votes at the Eurovision Song Contest 2006, held in Athens, Greece. Sarah Dale (24 September 2007). " 'I do' followed by a bit of a do". Evening Gazette. Archived from the original on 2 December 2008 . Retrieved 22 December 2008.I’ve read all of Fearne Cotton’s books and I think that this is probably my favourite. The book is presented in an easy to read style while introducing us to things that are, truly, Bigger Than Us…… spirituality, faith, reiki, shamanism, mediumship, manifesting, and Enneagram numbers among other. I found the book enlightening, thought provoking and beautiful. Fearne has inspired me to live my life in a more thankful way, looking for the positives in life and focusing on love. I have always been drawn to alternate ways, but feel inspired to live a more spiritual, non religious, way. Cotton is a friend of fellow TV presenter Holly Willoughby, with whom she has co-presented several shows. [36] Cotton and Sarah Cawood acted as two of the bridesmaids at Willoughby's wedding to Dan Baldwin on 4 August 2007. [37] Slaney, Rowan; Verdier, Hannah; Davies, Hannah J. (16 March 2018). "Fearne Cotton tries to find her Happy Place – podcasts of the week". The Guardian. ISSN 0261-3077 . Retrieved 9 March 2019.

The book is an easy to read self help book that introduces us to a variety of tools we can incorporate into our lives such as spirituality, faith, reiki, shamanism, mediumship, manifesting, and Enneagram numbers among other. It was a thought provoking and enjoyable read. This book inspires you to live life being more thankful and focusing on the positives. The book is based around spirituality, but that doesn't take away how incredibly, inspiring fearne cotton really is. I've now read all of her books, I was intrigued when I realised she had another book released so I didn't hesitate to buy it! In September 2005, she joined BBC Radio 1 to present the Friday early morning slot with Reggie Yates, [21] with whom she had previously worked on CBBC, Only in America and Top of the Pops. Since 14 October 2007, Cotton and Yates presented BBC Radio 1's Chart Show, taking over from JK & Joel, who had left the station. [22] Cotton then became the first ever permanent female presenter of a BBC radio chart show. ( Jo Whiley had preceded her as the first female presenter of The Official UK Top 40, as it was then called, but presented it only once, on 24 November 2002.) Cotton began her presenting career in 1996, at the age of 15, [9] with early-morning GMTV children's programme The Disney Club, after winning a competition for young talent to present the show. [10] Cotton later continued with the show and with its replacement Diggit. She left in 2000, to concentrate on her other projects with CITV, including Draw Your Own Toons and Mouse, aimed at encouraging children to use computers. In her new book, Bigger Than Us, Fearne Cotton seeks out the insight and advice of wise minds to explore what they can teach us to achieve happiness, connection and hope.I borrow these books from the library, always half expecting to find them too cheesy - wondering if this is going to be the one to make me roll my eyes and comment that I should have known - horribly judgemental, but true. But as with other titles by Cotton, this drew me in and really made me think about quite a few different alternative approaches (more natural approach than psych) to living, thinking, loving, reacting and ironically judging. Interesting life lessons to remind us that life is not always straight forward, and that instinct may not always be the best path. This was such a soothing read and one that I really enjoyed cosying up in bed and reading. It felt so validating and real, and was really enlightening. A definite recommend if you find yourself needing to find you again and learn to make space for yourself. A true gem of a book! Cotton joined BBC Radio 2 in July 2016 standing in for Graham Norton with former Spandau Ballet bassist Martin Kemp on Saturday mornings (10 am–1 pm) while Norton took his annual summer break. [27] Fearne covered for Ken Bruce 24–28 October 2016, in 2017 on 13–17 February, 3–7 and 10–14 April, 11 May, 29 May–2 June and 23–27 October, and in 2018 on 14–16 February. I try ( like most people!) to absorb anything that might speak to my soul - whether it’s a book or a podcast relating to every day mental health or learnings around personal growth . A few years ago, I would have considered any conversation on such topics to be incredibly indulgent and without substance. Now I can’t get enough of it. Her warmth, natural interview skills and ability to make presenting live TV seem effortless and has given her the opportunity to present a variety of shows over the years.
