GTMEDIA V8 UHD - SatDL

Hi all.........................Have been using the V8 UHD and finding extremely good results and at a superb price. I consider a good receiver, but does not accept symbol rate below 1000 (no value manually) and it does not sign up 60,000. It works very well ISDB-T here in South America. They also said that everything works very well the terrestrial mode. I was able to open and see the internal components (see attachments). They recently solved the problem for traceable antennas and now can move the engine. Flash memory (SPI) is 4MB only. Accepts T2-mi channels at 40.5ºW and 3ºE and in the blind search .. there is a video on youtue showing blind scan, of 28.2e - not a great test, but looks to work...think its an Android OS too, which is different... In fairness for the price you are getting a cheaply priced 4K receiver covering right up to DVB S2X so that can’t be a bad thing.

With three transponders which are shown with -10dB on the 6983 (no picture is shown no matter which video player)

GTMedia_V8UHD Upgrade Tool Guide_2020.11.25.zip V8UHD, V9 SUPER, V8 Finder METER Ali DB Editor (05/12/2020) It seems to work and powers up but the interface is not as nice as the GTCombo 4:2:2 model in my personal opinion. If 10.0E is scanned using a blind scan the result is polluted with a load of junk from 9.0E. It pours Poop OK but definitely does not clear 4:2:2. Primesat/Famaval 1.8 PF C/ku/Ka, Octagon SX8HD1, SX88, Openbox S3 Mini HD-V8S Freesat V7 HD-V8 Finder, Amiko A4K Combo, Satlook Colour HD Spectrum, Sansui A909 Amp and BOSE Acoustimass speakers for the audio. V8 UHD TV Box as we mentioned supports DVB-S/S2/S2X (SCPC and MCPC receivable from C/Ku band satellite), DVB T/T2/Cable(J83.A/B/C)/ISDBT, MPEG-2/4 H.265 standard, and also additional features such as CA card reader, Auto Biss Key, Multi-Room (in the same LAN multiple machines can share Softcams, even you don’t have a card ), Multi stream, T2-MI (function allows you search for DVB-T2 programs, despite DVB-S , more here), H.265 4K Ultra HD and 802.11n WiFi. More in the specifications below.

Hmmm, I have removed the two screws located in the top corners of the rear panel but there is hardly any movement on the case. The tuner on the GT Media V8 UHD is definitely quite sensitive but the Combo has the software player that will attempt to resolve the video from the transport stream on 4.2.2 feeds, not perfectly but they are viewable. It is an older model having been around for a couple of years but apart from the 4:2:2 decoding present on the GT Combo it seems to have a decent specification. Of course you can use the GTMEDIA GT Share utility to stream the transport stream to any reasonably spec Android or Apple device where given the correct codecs will play those 4.2.2 streams smoothly, your GT Media receiver acting as a server. You can try to save the GTMEDIA V7 HD/V7 Combo/V8 Super/V8 Golden if you box don’t boot up success.
