About this deal

I hadn’t intended to kill him of course. But I wasn’t displeased when I did and, despite the mess I made, I appeared to get away with it. The waste amount of hidden feminism. Sorry, not my thing. At least not in this amount. Not all men are bad. Not all women are good and the other way around.

With a succession of gasp-inducing twists and reveals, plus a flurry of love, How to Kill Men and Get Away With It is outrageously gruesome, and devilishly funny with it. Kitty/Katy Brent paints men as really quite awful creatures (I am one and it was sometimes squirmy). Her friends think she’s depressed because she doesn’t get over the betrayal of her first and last boyfriend and now she meets with charming philanthropist Charlie. Can she trust him? Can she control her killer instincts before they take control of her body?

If you're a fan of the 'Sweet Pea' series or 'Killing Eve', this book is for you. Engaging, addictive and thought-provoking, this read has it all!' NetGalley reviewer, Don’t get me wrong, it’s bloody and there’s still enough tension, but the writing style combined with the actual story really worked for me. Brent said: “ How To Kill Men has been my passion project for the past two years and kept me sane(ish) during the now infamous Unprecedented Times. I’m so excited that Kitty Collins – and I – have found a home with HQ. I can’t wait for everyone to meet her.”

No one flinches when women get murdered by men in fiction, but I have a hunch some people could get worked up about this book. Because the author has turned the tables on us and on society. It's not just women who have to watch their step in Kitty's London, men better be careful too. Not something that the patriarchy is used to and it may cause a bit of a snit. She is dead set against murdering animals (agreed here) but she kills men? For a ghosting her friend? And now for what I have to say about the actual book. Cover? 27 out of 10. Title? Fifty’leven out of 10. Content??? Wellllllllll, let’s summarize this one in song, shall we? ♬♪♬ Grab your coat and get your hat – suspend all disbelief at the doorstep ♬♪♬But now she has a stalker on social media who is sending her posts from her crime scenes and following her each steps.
