About this deal

Lightweight, pliable and commonly water-based, it’s ideal for those looking for a semi-matte finish with a low-to-medium hold. Easy to wash out — with hydrating qualities — it can be easily reworked and makes an excellent choice for a loose, care-free look. Coarse Molding Paste is a semi transluscent paste excellent for building texture. Creates a great ground for drawing media and colour wash.

While suitable for any length of hair, it works best for men with medium to long styles. The smell is sweet but not overpowering — giving off a light citrus scent infused with a touch of coconut. It’s also water soluble, so it’s super easy to wash out.

Golden Molding Paste can be used to achieve a variety of effects and expressions. When used in conjunction with acrylic colours, they broaden working properties and expand creative possibilities. Unlike gels, pastes are opaque because they contain Marble Dust or other fillers that create a white or clay-tone finish with a variety of textures and properties. The only thing I don't like about it is that it has a grainy feeling to it. But I really like that this recipe is inexpensive and uses readily available ingredients. Gently press the surface of the DIY Modeling Paste with the same paper to embed the sand particles into the Paste. The product is amazing and be used for all different purposes I use it for making my own moulds which can be used for baking chocolate making or arts n craft. A final product to consider is a hybrid material called GOLDEN Extra Heavy Gel/Molding Paste. This product was produced for an artist who wanted the greater translucency that a gel offers as well as the ability to build up higher, more accurate peaks. GOLDEN Extra Heavy Gel/Molding Paste provides that bridge between a Gel Medium and a Molding Paste. Although still drying to a light gray color, it allows the artist to achieve greater depth of color than that achievable with the standard Molding Pastes.

Artists are often asking why our product is called “Molding Paste” while everyone else’s is called “Modeling Paste”, and is there any difference? First, I have no idea why the product was called Molding Paste. It can be placed in a mold, but it wasn’t particularly developed for that purpose. Molding Paste is what Sam Golden called a similar product at Bocour and he simply carried the name forward to his new company. GOLDEN Molding Paste is made similarly to other brands of acrylic modeling pastes. Basically, they are all a medium of acrylic polymer that is filled with hard solids. Also what ratio of Molding Paste to Acrylic Medium (or Fluid Acrylic) should I use so that the mixture retains its hardness once it’s dry? Reply Heather, your tutorials are not only phenomenal but also dee..licious! You have covered all the materials in various depts. at Home Depot and also the cake shop lol! I love the results and anything to do with stencils, I am in! This requires not too many things to cook up, hope to get this going soon. Thank you my friend for the endless inspiration!!! You truly make this world a more interesting and inspiring one!Note: this is a very small batch– plan to use it in one sitting. If you mix up more, be sure to keep it in an airtight container for best results. Grape Seed Oil – known for its high content of vitamin E, it works as a natural sealant to keep moisture in the hair. Promoting natural movement, it has Caesar’s signature scent of creamy coconut and sandalwood with inflections of orris. The best hair pastes for men, especially when matte, can be used for a wide range of hairstyles, but it really shows its worth when creating casual looks on wavy or curly hair. I thank you for taking the time to visit The Graphics Fairy, and I hope that you’ll give this humble but marvelous recipe a try!
