Uses Gentle Suction: This proprietary unit uses gentle suction rather than force to wash your sinuses, which makes it easier and more effective. The build quality of the Sinugator seemed adequate for the job. It is a little heavy and cumbersome, but that is because I'm used to holding just the "wand" (tip) of the Sinupulse machine I also have. Being an "all in one" type device it is also a little restrictive in how you can position your head and lean as the machine itself has t o remain upright to ensure that all the liquid is used when it is running. Tipping it sideways will leave liquid still in the blue water container. Easy Use & No Mess: The self-contained unit catches the outflow of water from your nostrils rather than spilling the outflow into the sink like other nasal washers. The capacity of the blue holding tank is just short of 250ml. That might seem to be enough but with my Sinupulse machine I can fill it to 700ml, it will actually hold around 750ml if filled to the brim. Fill the bottle up to the dotted fill line with slightly warm water. Always use distilled or previously boiled water. Tap water isn't safe to use in a sinus rinse.

Bend forward over your sink to your comfort level and tilt your head down. Keeping your mouth open, without holding your breath, place the tip snugly against your right nostril. Press the blue power button until the solution starts draining from your left nostril. Depending on the head position, residual solution may drain from your mouth. We suggest to spit it out, however, there is no harm if accidentally swallowed. Keep pressing the power button until at least 1/4 to 1/2 of the solution is used for one nostril. Stop pressing the power button if you feel any discomfort, pain or pressure during the irrigation.Navage Nose Cleaner Review: My Surprising Results After TESTING This Nasal Irrigation System (My Review) Sadly I am no stranger to Nelimed and their products, or more precisely my needs for nasal irrigation over the years due to Rhinitis, Sinusitis, and post nasal drips etc that trouble me far too often. I have only used this once, at the tail end of a summer cold that was very sinus-y and it worked well.

Wash hands and fill the clear blue reservoir with 240 ml (8fl oz) of distilled, micro filtered (0.2 micron), commercially bottled or previously boiled & cooled down water at lukewarm or body temperature. Do not use tap or faucet water for dissolving the mixture unless it has been previously boiled and cooled down. This Neilmed Sinugator is cordless and designed to go where you go. It is a large volume, low pressure system which claims to be non-burning or stinging and suitable for use even after sinus surgery. I no longer need to use any regular prescribed treatments, not very effective, and I’m doing much better for using regular daily nasal irrigation. I would be wary about doing this too often, when I’m in a bad way I might increase this up to three times in a day at most, as over use might lead to producing excessive mucous. Also I only use povidone iodine if I am experiencing an infection, again good bacteria up the nostrils is needed to keep things in balance. When I was searching for the right nasal cleaner, I did A LOT of research and A LOT of testing. I’ve been suffering from allergies my entire life and I knew that if I was going to make life easier for myself, I had to invest in the right one. If you suffer from nasal congestion, whether it be from allergies, or just a common cold – you’re probably in the market for an effective nasal irrigation system that actually works.Cleans your tonsils: It contains tonsil cleaning wands to clean your tonsils, which can help prevent tonsil stones from forming.

To return faulty items see our Returning Faulty Items policy. The pulsating action of the Sinugator helps to clean and clear my nasal passages like nothing else I have ever used. It's like I can feel my sinuses opening up, allowing me to breathe more freely and with more ease. It's truly remarkable how effective it is. Not Very Portable: You must be near a power source because this one needs to be plugged into an outlet for power. I have seen a couple of ENT specialist and undergone various tests. This has left me with me having to manage this situation and, thankfully, I have found that nasal irrigation plays a big part in doing just that. I was very paranoid about making sure it was clean and the water sterile as had read a lot of warnings to do so as you don't want bacteria so close to your brain, so the cleaning and prep took some time but I expect it to be easier going forward. If you are coming from using a neli pot or one of those hand held devices (in my opinion better than a neli pot) then this might work out well for you. I do find that the pulsing sensation and regular force applied to the water stream effective for my needs. The cost of this compared to my suffering of not having one can’t be overvalued, thankfully it is affordable.
