About this deal

The CrossAction brush comes as standard with the Oral-B Pro 2 2500N. As the brush head size is quite small, it means that it easily accesses the most difficult of molar teeth. This in my view is the best brush head Oral-B make. This is because it has special bristles that are angled at 16 degrees, which allow it to clean close to the gum line. We have all heard those embarrassing stories of something vibrating in a suitcase when going through customs at the airport. Nothing dodgy, just your electric toothbrush. No such worries here.

Thanks for the review. I’ve bought this model and have since noticed toothpaste in liquid form has made its way into the section at the top of the brush handle where the metal prong comes out and connects to the brush head. Can you please tell me if it’s okay and safe to clean this section (once the brush head is removed) under running water? If it’s not do you know what’s the best way of preventing and/or clearing up the paste that makes its way inside the handle? I’m concerned that this could eventually damage the brush if not cleaned. Thanks again. Reply The transparent icons light up when on charge or when the battery is low. This is where one of the small criticisms of this rush comes in.It's common knowledge these days, but everyone is recommended to spend two full minutes cleaning their teeth. As a nod to this, the Oral-B Pro 2 2500 provides an audible warning via a slight pause in the brush motor every 30 seconds. This acts as a cue during brushing for you to change your focus between the four different quadrants in your gob: upper right, upper left, lower right and lower left. It’s a nice touch that works really well. We previously had a Oral-B Professional Care 3000 but after two years the Ni-MH batteries where very bad so I got new ones under warranty. Now two years later I am happy to see that Oral-B use Li-Ion batteries which have such a better life.

The number of oscillations and pulsations of each Oral-B toothbrush can vary. Typically the more premium the model the higher the number. When you suggest it wobbles, is it quite pronounced or very minor? The heads should not really wobble as such. The Pro 2 2000 is usually supplied with a CrossAction brush head, which effectively disrupts and lifts plaque and debris from the teeth, as confirmed by my plaque disclosing tests. I am more than impressed. Oral-B’s oscillating-rotating brush heads are smaller than the sonic style from the likes of Sonicare. They do make it easier to reach the tightest of spaces. When power is low the battery status icon will flash red and you will likely feel the decrease in brush power. I was used to putting toothpaste onto my manual toothbrush before brushing, but doing this with the Oral-B it sprayed off when I pressed the button, so now I have to wipe toothpaste onto my teeth first. Is this the recommended method? The documentation is multilingual but very limited in scope! Reply I like the slim and grippy handle. The 2 week battery life is satisfactory and, most importantly, it does a good job of cleaning your teeth.

The Oral-B Pro 2 2500 Electric Toothbrush uses a 3D oscillating rotating motion to clean your teeth. This means that the bristles spin right and left and pulsates up and down. Strictly speaking, 66 minutes is 16.5 days but I have rounded it down to account for over brushing time/lost power from delays in turning the brush off. We are moving away from articulating the benefits of the technology from number of movements because the benefits we see with Oral-B iO come from a multitude of factors including the linear magnetic drive that delivers energy to the bristle tips, the increased density of filaments on our redesigned brush heads as well the synchronised cleaning action of oscillation rotation plus microvibrations. The different brushing modes and movements are differentiated by the oscillation angle (ie the distance that each bristle travels before it changes direction). Boris Atlas – Global Leader for Professional and Scientific Relations – Oral-B. As the article above has highlighted, the fundamental difference between the Pro 2 2000 and the Pro 2 2500 is the inclusion of the travel case with the 2500. If you can buy the Pro 2 2000 at the right price, it is a solid choice. But, it has essentially been replaced by the Pro 3 Series.

The Pro 2 2900 is technically the expensive option as it includes 2 brush handles, but when you price it per handle included it is often cheapest. After spending 12 years in consumer technology, it was in 2014 that he focused his attention on dental health, having experienced first-hand the challenge of choosing a new toothbrush.
