About this deal

Like all Satechi products, the Aluminum Stand & Hub has an aluminum design that's meant to match the aluminum of Apple devices for a streamlined desktop look. When not in use, it folds down for storage or for transport. As someone who uses their iPad frequently it was great to get a proper stand, as opposed to the cardboard box I was using. This stand is great to look at and really feels like a premium product. It’s made out of space gray aluminum with rubber on the bottom and the front part so it won’t slide around on your desk. SLEEK & STABLE DESIGN - never worry again about your tablet tipping over! Hands-free display holds your tablet with a solid aluminum construction and rubber pads grip to prevent any scratches or sliding This change of mind return policy is in addition to, and does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law including any rights you may have in respect of faulty items. To return faulty items see our Returning Faulty Items policy. Satechi today announced the launch of the Aluminum Stand & Hub for iPad, which is designed to combine the portability of a tablet with the capabilities of a desktop in a unique foldable form factor.

The Satechi Aluminum Stand and Hub for iPad Pro/Air is a simple idea, blend a convenient USB-C hub with an iPad stand in a portable and durable design. Review: Satechi Aluminum Stand and Hub for iPad Pro and Air Specs After spending several weeks with the Satechi Stand and Hub for iPad Pro I’ve found it to be a valuable accessory as long as you’re not needing high-performance I/O. While it’s nice to see 4K 60Hz support with the HDMI port, you’re capped at 5 Gbps with the USB 3.0 Type-A port and 104 MB/s with the UHS-I SD and micro SD card slots. Not only is it terrific for my phone, I'm using it as a stand for my MacBook as well. I didn't realize I could. As the product description says, it “easily creates the perfect desktop setup wherever you are, whether it’s taking a FaceTime group call or sketching out your latest idea on your iPad.” It also comes with a one year manufacturer warranty. This change of mind return policy is in addition to, and does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law including any rights you may have in respect of faulty items.A couple of constructive ideas would be for Satechi to include a USB-C data port (power delivery only here) as well as upping the USB-A and SD slot speeds. Wrap-up I'm sure it will be welcome by some users. My favorite still is their Aluminum Desktop Stand, which is amazing! The Aluminum Stand & Hub is meant to elevate the iPad Pro off of a desk, turning it into a functional workstation with multiple viewing angle options. Attached to the stand, the ‌iPad‌ can be used as a main screen, a secondary screen, a drawing canvas, or a hub for FaceTiming friends and family. The design is compact and convenient so it’s easy to take with you on the go. The aluminum build provides the quality that Satechi has become known for and I like that it doubles as an iPad Pro/Air as well as a MacBook hub. You can't go wrong with Satcehi products. And when I had a need for a stand - I thought of them immediately. And I have not been disappointed. In fact - I'm a little surprised at how how versatile this one is.

And the way Satechi included the USB-C cable cutout means you can use it with a MacBook in addition to iPads when it’s folded. You also get a status LED on the side of the device. In use Satechi launched its Aluminum Stand and Hub for iPad Pro/Air last month with a foldable design that brings 6 ports, integrated USB-C cable connector, and features like 4K output at 60Hz and 60W power. We’ve been testing out this handy iPad accessory that also works with MacBooks for a few weeks, read on for our full review.

As the name conveys, Satechi is using an all-aluminum design here for a solid and sturdy build. The only plastic is found on the underside of the accessory where the USB-C connector is stored. And sturdy rubber pads are used on the bottom for a non-slip grip as well as the slot where iPad rests in the stand. The hinges are firm and take a bit of force to adjust, helping to ensure that your iPad isn’t going anywhere while you’re using it. Because of the open nature of the mount you can place your iPad in portrait and landscape mode.
