About this deal

Unfortunately, you can only save 1 single recording at any time, and there’s also no way to export the song as a MIDI file either. Ideally, you’d go with Yamaha’s own FC3A to take advantage of the half-pedaling functionality, but that’s a little pricey. The CT-S1 is the latest offering from Casio. This 61 note beginners keyboard delivers fantastic sounds at a great price.

Having worked in the music industry for over 10 years, Lucas found passion in helping others choose the most suitable music gear for them.Yamaha offers a range of apps such as Digital Piano Controller, Metronome, and NoteStar for use with the Piaggero series. You can easily connect your iOS device* to the USB TO HOST terminal** on your Piaggero instrument, or wirelessly with the optional UD-BT01***, for easy operation and added performance functions. The base piano sound is important here. It surpasses my expectations. Ultimately, that’s the biggest part of why I consider the NP-32 a great beginner keyboard. Polyphony is a measure of how many notes you can play simultaneously without cutting off earlier notes. As such, if you play 65 notes around the same time, the 1 st note you played will stop abruptly. Yamaha’s acoustic technology furnishes the Piaggero’s powerful sound—a sound that belies its compact size, featuring resonant grand piano-style bass notes and beautifully detailed treble tones. But, a t a low price, and a fairly good design, you’re getting good value. The Yamaha NP-12 has enough features for a beginner to get started. You may find yourself needing a more in-depth keyboard down the line (especially since there are only 61 keys on this keyboard), but this is a wonderful place to start.

As a new customer, users can also get access to 3 months of Flowkey Premium for free, an accessible learning software that can be used across multiple devices giving you access to over 1500 songs varying from classical piano pieces to pop. The second electric piano sound is a glittery, 80s kind of bell-synth. It’s extremely bright, but it’s sampled well, and it allows for clean playing across the octaves. Each hit is initiated by a charming bell plink, followed by a warm muted tone that mellows out the first strikes. Using the sustain pedal warms this sound up quite a bit, as the clinks of the bell tone are very short, and the lower tone is longer and catches with the sustain. See there is no digital keyboard / piano with 61 textured keys on the market, besides Go: Piano / Keys, correct? The Yamaha NP12 is a simple keyboard with great portability, among the outstanding features of the NP12 are the 61 keys with sensitivity to pressure, the possibility of using the power adapter or 6 AA batteries (duration of 16 hours).Features:

There are 3 different touch sensitivities (soft, medium, hard), as well as an option to turn this off. The default Medium setting is natural enough, and I never felt the need to change things up. New Digital Piano Controller App to access the wide range of sounds and features on the new NP series The NP15 has an authentic piano sound with box style touch sensitivity keys that make it easier for novice pianists to start. Compared to its predecessor, the NP15 features an even better playability as well as more versatile features that will suit the needs of piano/keyboard players of all levels. What hasn't changed, however, is the distinctively great sound, portability and compact design of the Piaggero Series.

To close this section, I’ll give props to Yamaha for including dedicated controls for most commonly used features. These keyboards are especially popular with beginners thanks to their much more affordable price tags. Another fantastic feature is the inclusion of a metronome. It’s perfect for beginners that need some help keeping pace with the rhythm, also helping to better understand when you need to slow down or speed up.

Many of my fellow musicians share the same opinion and regard Sweetwater as their go-to music store. Yamaha is one of the digital keyboard brands that is constantly updating and refining its products. It’s no surprise then that the NP-12 is the successor to the popular NP-11, and that it debuts alongside other keyboards in the series like the NP-32. On the NP-12, t he Grand Piano sound is sampled from a Yamaha Grand Piano. It’s very bright, which is not surprising, as the Yamaha Grand as always been pretty boisterous. There are two types of organ sounds: the first is a kind of smaller, reed organ sound, while the second sounds more “churchy,” almost like a pipe organ. Being in love with music for as far as he can remember, Lucas started this blog as the “ go-to”place for the most accurate and detailed information about the world of music.Walk-in, carrying the NP12 with one hand, and play - it's that easy anywhere thanks to the new slim, light and compact design. High Quality, Authentic Piano tone
