If I could give this book more stars I would... The characters and plot had me hooked from the beginning, it was so good in fact I read it in a day because I couldn't out it down. How frugal of this Manhattan city girl! The ketchup gets me…lol, as if you don’t have a whole cook. But alas… But I am not just any woman. I am Alana Carmichael and I’m only here to save my father. I will not bow to any king.

Starts with an arranged marriage taking place. I kind of feel like I stepped into the middle of this book 😬… but it’s not some big mystery, which makes it easy to follow. Nutshell: She hates him but is hot for him / he hates her but is hot for her .. meets forced proximity of arranged marriage. Alejandro was everything I look for in a mafia leader, possessive, powerful, gorgeous and a master in the bedroom.Ah! It’s like the author writes the action but never divulges into the emotions that may cause the action. So, as a reader, you just gotta trust she’s affected but you’ll never be able to actually feel it, how the heroine feels it. Alejandro Montoya is the King of the LA underworld. Alana Carmichael has just become his wife. It was good for business, he needed an heir and she was trying to keep her father out of prison. In Sadie's books, the romance is fierce and often at the heart of the story. Characters like Ryan, who appears in several books including "Chicago Ruthless", are often found wrestling with their feelings while navigating treacherous situations.
This book was hard to put down, I was totally engaged the whole time AND that ending has me asking all sorts of questions !!!! I decided to follow my instinct and read it anyway…and honestly a lot of the components that other readers complained about happened to be the bits I absolutely loved.In the first of Ms. Kincaid’s Ruthless series, all located in large cities, London Ruthless starts with Dark Angel. Gabriel Sullivan is a calculating, ruthless man, at the top of his game. Always getting what he wants, he moves in a dark, dangerous world and he’s at the top of his game. It's a book with a lot of steamy sex and the sex scenes were hot. Perhaps a little too much for some. HI I was told that I need a super librarian to help me merge the two copies of my books Ryan Rule { New York Ruthless Book 1 } This book loves to tells us what’s happening but refuses to show us! No descriptive language, no painting of a scene, therefore, you’ll never get embedded into the book. It’s like listening to a boring person talk about something that happened to them. “Yeah, I hear ya, it sounds like it would be a great time, I’ll just have to take your word for it I guess.” Is my response to everything Alana or Alejandro “feels”.
