About this deal
PJOReilly thanks for antagonizing a commenter, dude, but it sure reads like you didn't review with just your head.
This is long overdue, and they should port GTA IV and V as well. These are old and wildly popular last-gen games, they should run well on switch and find a large audience, I don't understand the decision to not port them. I might actually get this if it ends up true.... I'm not the biggest GTA fan but I had a decent amount of fun with Vice City on PC. If it includes cheats like the flying cars and whatnot then I'm definitely gonna jump in. The only problem with this game was bad marketing. This game is literally the same as the originals with all the same bugs and glitches. Ridiculously high expectations ruined this game. Update: A rating for 'Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition' has surfaced in Korea. No platforms are listed. If this is true, I hope you can buy them separately. Vice City and San Andreas are great games, but I'd only want to get San Andreas, I always wanted to complete that game. PJOReilly No no, you don't understand. One of the common defences from people is that anyone who doesn't think these remasters are the bees knees is just a younger person who started with GTAV and were too young or not even born yet when the originals came out. I think I'll ultimately give in to the temptation and get this (if it's real) but seriously, why can't they just get GTA V on the Switch without the Online? DeathByLasagna Even worst, they are removing all the older good versions of these games and replacing them with these abominations. Good thing I already got the older entries on PS2 and Steam otherwise I would had been super disappointed.
The first two games feel more like proof-of-concepts inhibited by technological constraints, and I really don't understand why anybody would want to play them nowadays as I don't think that they have aged well at all. They were absolutely revolutionary in their heyday due to the boldness of the concept, but GTA III and beyond completely blew those earlier games out of the water.

Cult of the Lamb is another game for which I would love a second look. I heard it’s better compared to its launch version.
