About this deal

We all know that ‘it’s better out than in’ when it comes to some emotions. Whether you prefer shouting about it, scribbling it down on paper, or blogging the pants out of a situation, out is best. It helps us to feel calmer, more in control and more often than not can help us to understand what we are actually feeling, see how we reacted and help us to move forwards in a positive way. But it takes a good while to figure all that out doesn’t it? That getting things out – highs and lows, good times and bad – can make us feel better. Happier. More confident. Based on the latest scientific research in well-being, children are helped to develop ten key life ‘powers’ such as introspection, optimism, mindset & resilience. If developed from an early age, these skills are recognised to help not just in childhood but also in adulthood. Using a structured format for only 5 minutes a night, they’ll develop a positive daily habit that will increase their happiness and confidence. With over 60 highly engaging activities, kids will be helped to understand themselves more, identify their feelings, and learn to let go of fear, anxiety or anger and increase their kindness and compassion towards themselves and others. Happy Confident Bee’ is a character that appears all throughout the journal and acts as a guide through each day. For any littler ones who struggle with the abstract idea of writing ‘dear diary’ style, we think that the bee is a great character to have a chat to, on paper, each day instead.

That our positive behaviours have a positive affect on others as well as ourselves and the world around us. Children don’t cope well with failure as opposed to seeing mistakes as part of a journey in learning. They live in fear of failure which can prevent them trying new things or rising to challenges.

Children using our journals for only 5 minutes a night build stronger connections to their families and peers through Although the journal is straightforward, I do want to share some of the things I found helpful when introducing it to my kids #01 Please don’t force it Offering 10 weeks of daily structured journaling the Happy Confident Me Super Journal is the perfect partner to HCMtv, providing a way to apply each of the powers on a daily basis. In a media-driven, fast-paced world we need to be able to slow down and become more present to quieten our busy minds and take time to be calm.

That’s when I remembered a family member had sent us the Happy Confident Me Daily Journal. I saw this as an excellent opportunity to help her reflect, reframe the day and have an outlet to begin to feel better. Without perseverance we lose strength of self, strength of conviction and nothing great can ever happen. We lose pride in the things we do as they are all ‘easy’ or simple. Most people believe that creativity only exists in the arts and so some children will stop challenging the right side of their brain, wrongly believing they are ‘not creative’. Yes, if they want to complete the journal by themselves, that’s great, but equally, some kids respond well to you being involved. It may be the difference between them completing the journal or allowing it to gather dust on a bookshelf.Throughout life we question ourselves and our actions. We are too tough on ourselves, and this leads to low self-image and self-esteem. When we can accept ourselves, both the positives and the negatives, and accept others, the world will be a better place. Then there are 3 main questions to complete. Each day ‘today I am grateful for…’ is the leading question, and the following 2 questions change from day to day. The questions mainly steer towards positive feelings, but they do also include ones to ask if there was anything difficult that day, which I think keeps a good balance.

And with The Happy Confident Me Daily Journal, your child will enjoy developing a positive daily habit that will result in them feeling greater optimism and enjoying better sleep. As well as their brilliant journals, The Happy Confident Company also offer a range of well-being boosting cards, courses& printables. Kids will love this transformational course developed together with therapists, parents, children, and schools, delivered in a TV programme format across 10 meaty, but bite-sized episodes. She likes to complete it and then share it with me, which makes great talking points to follow on from. The Happy Confident Me Super Journal instills life-changing, positive daily habits. Developed by psychotherapists and parenting experts, in consultation with kids it: She would describe an awkward feeling in her tummy that didn’t feel like the friendly, excited for something good to happen butterflies, rather, pretty unhappy tummy-dwelling creatures intent on making her feel uncomfortable & sad. These were big feelings coming out, and I knew we had to explore them in a supportive and helpful way.
