About this deal

Well, not being a "royal watcher" or a fan of the "prejudiced press", and having been a psychotherapist for well over 40 years, I watched Harry's interviews with interest. What I saw was a man who had something to say. Prince Harry sets the record straight about pregnancy announcement at Princess Eugenie's wedding". Hello!. 6 January 2023. Long before Will met Kate and Harry met Meghan. Their fractured relationship really has nothing to do with either wife. And to remove any notions of bias, as a pro royalist. I am not a Royalist or in favour of keeping a large royal family. Some maybe because of the charity work they do and the causes they champion like William's 'Earthshot' programme, which is the stuff we really should be focused on. I also have issues with the lives of some of the RF but I am not here to comment on those. I am here to respond to Harry's book, his one-sided oxymoronic self indulgent story and his unverified allegations.

I am not particularly invested in the British monarchy, but it's been pretty hard to exist over the past few years and not be aware of the way Harry and Meghan have made headlines around the world - the effects of which have been polarising. a b Hill, Erin (5 January 2023). Harry seeks compassion and understanding from everyone, but did he (or will he) show any to the people whose lives he destroyed? Of course not; they are, after all, just "bad people" doing "bad things".Harry mentions that both he and his brother had agreed on welcoming Charles's lover Camilla Parker Bowles into their family on the condition that their father did not marry her. [17] He alleges that Camilla "sacrificed" him "on her personal PR altar" to improve her own public image and leaked "minute details" of a conversation she had with William to the press. [29] He alleges that William "felt tremendous guilt" for not speaking up about their father's affair with Camilla, and he had "long harboured suspicions about the Other Woman." [30] He adds that William was left "confused" and "tormented" as a result of the affair. [30] Harry also says that Camilla had "played a role" in his mother's death because she had been "pivotal" in the disintegration of his parents' marriage. [29] He likened his first time meeting her to "getting an injection" and added Camilla was "bored," partly because Harry was not Charles's heir and could not be a threat to her desires for marrying his father. [29] Harry says that his father found happiness after marrying Camilla, and that he wanted both his father and Camilla to be happy, wondering if "she was less dangerous being happy." [29] Harry also states that Camilla turned his bedroom at Clarence House into her dressing room as soon as he left. [31] He also talks about Charles's experience at Gordonstoun, where Harry claims his father was bullied and "almost did not survive." [29] He discusses his father's attachment to his teddy bear, which helped him through Gordonstoun and remained one of his favourite objects as an adult, a representation of "the essential loneliness of his childhood." [29] In the book, Harry claimed that his stepmother Camilla had leaked details of her private conversation with his brother William to the press. Speaking to The Telegraph, sources close to Camilla mentioned that she was not behind the leak and was "furious" when she discovered that details of her first meeting with William were published in the press. [125] She had discussed the meeting with her top aide Amanda MacManus whose husband, a media executive, shared the information with a former colleague, who in turn leaked the story to a newspaper. [125] Camilla released a public statement at the time, announcing that MacManus had "resigned" following an investigation. [125] In response to Harry's claim that Camilla had played "the long game" with "a campaign aimed at marriage, and eventually the crown," Camilla's son and Harry's stepbrother Tom Parker Bowles stated "I think change happens but I don't care what anyone says – this wasn't any sort of end game. She married the person she loved and this is what happened." [126] Harris, Katie (8 January 2023). "Rishi Sunak refuses to fall into Laura Kuenssberg's trap about intervening on Royal Family". Daily Express. Archived from the original on 8 January 2023 . Retrieved 8 January 2023. As everyone knows Harry lost his mother when he was young. Yet so did his brother William. It is quite clear throughout Harry's storytelling that William cares about him a great deal and is worried about him and wanting to get him help. William can obviously see he is going the same way as his mother did (paranoid). Harry is relatable with all his cannabis consumption, psychedlic and recreational drug use, drinking etc.
