If you’ve been trying to improve tone and appearance over time, and prefer sensitive products, this is the range for you. This cream is gently absorbed deep into the skin to control the skin's oil-water balance for a longer time. Witch hazel is a smallish tree (up to 5m) that's native to North-America, has nice yellow flowers and is similar to the hazelnut bush (hence the name). It occurs naturally in certain fish and plant oils (e.g. olive), and in the sebum (the oily stuff our skin produces) of the human skin. I was more interested in the green buffet and the snail mucin essence.This cream also contains some emollient moisturising ingredients, like squalane, a stabilised version of a lipid that’s naturally in your skin, as well as some oils (caprylic/capric triglyceride, macadamia and argan oils, and shea butter). The results on my skin weren’t quite as impressive as the Buffet Serum, but they were similar (fading pigment, soothing skin, decreasing flakiness). I would recommend the serum over this, but if the serum alone isn’t giving you enough results, this would be a good pairing. On my skin, this didn’t trigger any clogged pores or breakouts. The scent is a slightly heavier version of the Buffet Serum’s herbal lavender scent. Me too! I’m looking for a new moisturizer and the cream sounded great – except for those essential oils. I have atopic dermatitis and very sensitive skin. I figured out that I tend to get rashes from anything citrus-related. Wish this cream came without the bergamot and lavender! Reply Another pro is that lavender oil has some nice antimicrobial and antibacterial properties. It also has some localpain relieving and muscle relaxing magical powers. Lavender oil is also often claimed to have anti-inflammatory properties. We have found a study confirming this but it was the essential oil of the leaves and not the much more commonly used flowers and the two differ in their main chemical compounds very much. (The main components of the flower essential oil are linalyl acetate and linalool [around 80% the two together] while it is 1,8-Cineole [around 65%] in the essential oil of the leaves.)
