About this deal

Another minor downside is that Fillmore valves don't play all that well with some tire inserts. In particular, inserts that lay flat against the rim tape. This forces the Fillmore valve to push the insert to open, significantly reducing the airflow advantage. So if you're a big fan of tire inserts, these might not be for you. The Muc-Off V2 Tubeless Valves are a class act. Brilliant in construction and application, and easy to fit. They make tyre inflation an easy exercise and are just as impressive when it comes to holding air pressure." We believe (and it would be utterly crazy if otherwise), the Flowmore works with a standard Presta pump – the top cap is removable. Why are we excited about these valves? Although we can't guarantee all pumps and tire gauges will work with Fillmore valves, we have tried most of the pumps and gauges on the market today and have found very few exceptions where there are function issues. There may be some pumps out there that will not work correctly. Supplied with 3 sets of different shaped rubber inserts to fit a variety of rim shapes and create the perfect value to rim seal.

Yes. While we recommend keeping the cap on for best practice and for the micro-adjust feature, there are no issues with riding the bike with a missing cap. The system is designed to hold tire pressure with or without an air cap. Muc-Off's all-new V2 tubeless valves feature a newly integrated tyre insert air flow system. These red tubeless valves are designed to improve air flow and decrease clogging when used in conjunction with tyre inserts, the 6 slots machined into the base of the valve stem allowing them to be compatible with most tubeless tyre inserts and allow your tubeless sealant fluid and air to flow freely when running tubeless tyre inserts. They've also been upgraded the material of the valves to aircraft-grade 7075 aluminium to be lighter and stronger than before! Now push the valve stem into the hole in the rim and push it right the way though. Then place the rubber 0-ring onto the valve stem and slide it all the way down until it meets the rim. This means two things. One – sealant is largely (though we assume not entirely) kept away from the inside of the stem, where it otherwise might clog a smaller port, as when the valve closes, it prevents sealant travelling up the stem. Thus, clogging should be less of a concern. There are tons of colorful tubeless valve options – some of which are noticeably cheaper than Peaty’s, but there are two things that really make them stand out.STEP 4 – Now push the valve stem into the hole in the rim and push it right the way through. Then place the rubber O-ring onto the valve stem and slide it all the way down until it meets the rim. This off-the-bike fitness challenge will help refine essential MTB skills and seriously boost your power

There’s nothing wrong with this, but given the 50/50 nature of ‘normal procedure’/plan B and plan C, it adds faff to the proceedings, especially if you’ve lost your tiny core removal tool and rely on a pair of pliers to get the core out. A look at the most common search terms used on Redtube reveals a strikingly one-note approach. Come on, people, seriously? This is just lame. If only our tubeless set-ups were so clean! Reserve What makes Reserve’s Fillmore tubeless valves special? If you have more than one tubeless wheelset at home, I'm willing to bet at least one of those wheels currently has a clogged valve. If not totally stopped up, it might be one of those valves that (when you try to air up the tire) the air takes forever to flow into the wheel. STEP 6 – Tip, don’t overtighten as this can cause leaking. Finish by screwing on your preferred valve cap. Pushing the cap down will release air, allowing you to easily adjust tyre pressure. Reserve So what do we think? No. All tubeless rims use the smaller valve hole that only works with Presta. Do all valves fit all rim shapes? Reserve claims the Flowmore’s cap can be unscrewed a little and depressed to easier adjust tyre pressures. At the same time, there’s less risk of damage to the valve as it has an overall sturdier build. Finally, injecting sealant into the tyre is easier as the valve stem is less congested thanks to having no valve core, says Reserve.
