After the Mermaid's Pendant is accepted, the Calendar will have a Mermaid's Pendant icon on the wedding day. One of the biggest keys to success in Stardew Valley is to set your priorities correctly. If natural childbirth isn’t an option, you can instead choose to adopt; your spouse will gladly handle all the necessary paperwork, and in no time at all, your new child will be brought to you by the adoption agency. You can play with your child every day, forging a strong parental bond as you watch them grow from a tiny, sleepy newborn to a rambunctious toddler. And when your first child is old enough to sleep in a big kid bed, you and your spouse can start thinking about having or adopting another! If you have children with a fellow farmer, they’ll live with one parent or the other depending on a few factors. Regardless of where they live, though, you’ll be able to play and develop bonds with your children every day.To update a mod, just replace its files with the new versions (making sure to keep generated files like config.json). Everything is kid-friendly; you get to name every animal, and they are valued for their daily produce. The only meat in the game is fish.

Making Money

Haley is a villager who lives in Pelican Town. She's one of the twelve characters available to marry. Offer to help decorate the dark room. (No effect on friendship.) Ends the scene and disappoints Haley. If you talk to her immediately after the cutscene, she says "Well the dark room looks great now, thanks " with her annoyed portrait.

On Wednesdays in Winter, Haley may say "I wish someone would bring me a peppermint coffee. Don't even bother, I know you won't be able to make one." This may lead players to believe that Peppermint Coffee is available, and is one of Haley's loved or liked gifts. In fact, Peppermint Coffee cannot be crafted, cooked, or brewed, and is not available in-game anywhere. In early game development, Haley would say "The only thing I like about winter is peppermint coffee... hey, are you even listening?" After the island farmhouse to the west is repaired, the ruins can be rebuilt into a beach resort for 20 Golden Walnuts. From then on a random subset of villagers from Pelican Town will arrive at 11:00 AM and leave at 6:00 PM each non-raining day that isn't a festival day. The player can open/close the resort for the following day with the toggle located between the two doors of the changing room. The wedding ceremony does not take place on a day that another event takes place in the town square. In such cases, the wedding is delayed until there is a day without such an event. If it is a silver or gold quality fish, the quality of the fish is increased by one.
