About this deal

Walk on the beach (Spanish: Paseo a la orilla del mar or Paseo a orillas del mar), is a 1909 oil on canvas painting by the Spanish painter Joaquín Sorolla.

You start to reflect on your life journey, the meaning of life, and your destiny. It feels as if that very moment connects you to a higher power, and you realize that the ocean and the waves are waiting to wash away all the troubles in your mind. If a dog digests it there could be problems, not necessarily fatal, but every case is different. Most cases if any cause diarrhoea or vomiting. In some cases the oil gets into the system and causes pancreatitis or liver problems or even pneumonia. If from a ship the diesel etc gets in it so no panic but see a vet of concerned. Sunburn Zu den frühesten Arbeiten mit dem Motiv badender Knaben gehört El baño von 1899, eine Studie zum großformatigen Gemälde ¡Triste herencia! von 1901.McComber gives us some down home comfort with the sense of close knit family and community in this beautiful story. Plenty of conversation and chitchat makes you feel right at home. Plus again, litter. You have no idea what waste is being washed up on our shores daily. It is quite frightening to be honest when you look into it. José Luis Díez, Javier Barón: Joaquín Sorolla, 1863-1923, Museo Nacional del Prado, Madrid 2009, ISBN 978-84-8480-183-2.

There aren’t many things that compare to a walk on the beach. The magical experience starts when you take off your shoes and step onto the sand. From that moment on, it’s only you and the beach. You feel the fresh, gentle sea breeze against your skin, you hear the spontaneous laughter of happy people playing in the sun, and you feel the tremble of the powerful waves crashing on the shore. At the beach, life is different. Time doesn’t move hour to hour but mood to moment. We live by the currents, plan by the tides and follow the sun.” The beach has an uplifting power that no material thing or place could ever provide us. Hearing of other peoples’ beach experiences gives us perspective on our own lives. It gives us hope and inner peace knowing that there is a place where we can go to get rid of all our problems.Life is going good for the Lakey family until it isn't. This story rings true with real characters that are relatable and a situation all too common, unfortunately. Set in Oceanside, on the lovely coast of Washington state, a walk along the beach is an important place to think and get away. We also see familiar people recurring from the prior story, Cottage by the Sea. Emotions run the gamut: happiness, fear, sadness, hope, anger, forgiveness, faith, and above all, love. Debbie Macomber has dedicated this heartfelt story to a best friend that she lost to cancer, another author that I read years ago, Christina Skye. This is a sad but uplifting story of hope and new beginnings. When you’re in love, the world is brighter. Sunnier. The air smells flowerier, and your hair is silkier, and suddenly you find yourself smiling at babies and strangers and old couples walking down the beach holding hands.” Jess Rothenberg

Debbie Macomber has brought her readers another wonderful novel with characters who are so well written that they seem like friends - characters that readers will laugh with and cry with and won't soon forget. The plot is emotional and full of love. The scenery near the beach in Washington State is lovely. And the bond between the two sisters is incredible. This is a story about family and friendship, heartache and love, illness and happiness, happy tears and sad tears. Beach Rules: Soak up the sun. Ride the waves. Breathe the salty air. Feel the breeze. Build sandcastles. Rest, relax, reflect. Collect seashells. Bare-feet required.”

There is a thing called sand impaction. Imagine you get a container and keep channeling wet sand into it. It starts to compact and solidify easier yes? Old Joan said things along the lines of "life is short, do what makes you happy" and "don't worry about people who aren't worrying about you." But, my personal favorite, was to "make good with your dash"—aka on your tombstone, there is a dash between the year you are born and the year you die. What do you do with the time between? I need to take a lot of that to heart myself. With strong characters and great love for one another, the story of just every day people hit home for me. I shed many tears towards the end of the book and while I wished the ending was longer, I guess I should be happy for the ending we were given. But I did want more. I felt it was very abrupt and I wasn’t expecting that to be the ending.
