About this deal

In this this pioneering book Karen Sawrey shows you the bible as you never seen it before, using powerful infographics, with data sourced by experts in their fields, to communicate the key biblical themes and narratives. The Infographic Bible focuses on the meta narrative, the key points of the major stories and themes, to give the reader insight into the bigger story and help you understand the complex or abstract themes in a relevant way. Through revealing the ancient traditions, showing connections between Old and New Testament themes, and profiling important characters, you are left with a deeper and more memorable interpretation of the scriptures. The infographics range from simple to complex, showing different levels of information. Look out for a key on the more complex ones to help you process that information. Remember that the graphics take the leading role with the text playing only a supportive one. This infographic is the bridging of the Old and New Testaments. It spans where the paper changes from the Old Testament’s uncoated, to the New Testament’s coated paper. I know it sounds geeky but it’s been strategically placed so the reader can experience the shift between testaments and between prophecy and fulfillment. Even if it was your first encounter with the Bible, your fingers would feel the change.

Bible Infographics for Kids™ Epic Guide to Jesus: Samaritans

Whether you’re looking for answers to your own questions or seeking to explain the scientific evidence to others, The Comprehensive Guide to Science and Faith is an invaluable apologetic tool that will help you analyze scientific findings in light of the truths found in the Bible. With God, we get to do those things the world says are impossible. Of course it takes risk and vulnerability from us, and creating this book has taken both! It is key to say that each contributor’s view is uniquely linked to their data set and will often differ from other contributor’s, or in fact, my own, view. This was important because I feel different theologies are not something to be feared, but to be embraced and grappled with. A healthy maturity comes from this wrestling. It is certainly true of my own journey.Karen Sawrey: The Collins English Dictionary has a great explanation already prepared for me: “A graph, diagram, or other visual image designed to present complex information in an easily understandable form.” Karen Sawrey: I believe the Bible is one of the key places we encounter God and his heart for a relationship with us, bringing nourishment and wholeness ( Proverbs 4:20-22). It’s an incredible, life-bringing gift extended to every single person—enjoy!

This graphic is full of life and hope; it’s one of the most powerful in the whole book because it reveals Jesus as the Messiah! It shows every messianic Old Testament prophecy and then how those were fulfilled in the New Testament. It’s the very thing that the Christian faith is based upon… and that’s what makes it so very exciting! In essence, these infographics solidify and reveal the truth of Mathew 5:17 (“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them”). The Gospel remains central to all these children’s versions. Whether it’s the New Testament’s recounting of Jesus’s life or the Old Testament’s tales of faith and perseverance, the essence remains unchanged. Parents can be assured that, whether their child is reading the NIV, ESV, or any other translation, the core message of God’s love and the teachings of Christ come through clearly. Michael S. Heiser is scholar-in-residence for Faithlife Corporation and Bible Study Magazine, as well as co-editor of Old Testament Greek Pseudepigrapha and Semitic Inscriptions. Mike translates works in more than a dozen ancient languages and dialects. He attended Dallas Theological Seminary, has taught college and university courses for 15 years, and was named the Society of Biblical Literature’s 2007 Pacific Northwest Regional Scholar. In addition, he is the Hebrew instructor for the video series Learn to Use Biblical Greek and Hebrew for Logos Bible Software. About the Contributing Editors It was my delight to art direct and refine the whole project and with the exception of 16, I was also the designer and illustrator. Again I had an incredible team, some illustrator contributors and supporters who came in for a few specific graphics, then a couple of guys who were core design, working with me throughout the whole 5 years; there was another designer and an amazing illustrator intern who volunteered one day a week.Bible quizzes are a fun way to learn God's Word! Ancient scriptures from the most popular book of all time, revolutionised to reveal its themes and narratives for a modern generation. Billions of people across the world find solace, meaning and wisdom from reading the Bible. But for some, it can be a difficult book to engage with and understand. One of the most important things to keep in mind when you read through the Old Testament Prophets is that all these stories took place in real lives in actual history. The project was released to me at a key stage in my journey of relationship with God and without the foundations I had in knowing his character and ways it would have been impossible. But with God it was possible and that relationship has deepened during these last 5 years. I basically love all things paper and ink, working as an illustrator and conceptual designer for print for 24 years and in publishing for 17 of those. That experience stretched across different media including: top magazines; Alpha and HTB; global charities like World Vision and Zacharias Trust and publishers including HarperCollins, Hodder & Stoughton and Penguin Random House. Whatever type of Bible you choose for your child, make sure that you read it together regularly and talk about what you’re learning. Some of the key people in my project support team, again in various roles, were also from Vineyard, people like Miriam, Abi, and our Chloe (see pp216-217). Carlisle Vineyard really was and still is a key place of support, they really did make up quite a lot of my personal support team and I shall be eternally thankful! The heart of this book is all about restored relationships, it had to be birthed through community we were created to flourish in it!)

Holy infographics: the bible visualised | Books | The Guardian

Blue is chosen to represent heaven, the green for creation and restoring, gold for divinity, and pink for love. Specifically, the pink used has become known amongst my team and I as ‘God is love’ pink: it’s a mix of the colors I’ve used to represent the Trinity: burgundy for the Father, pink for Jesus, and gold for the Holy Spirit. One of the hardest and most time-consuming parts of this project has been creating the data from scratch, which was the case for everything you see with the exception of 2 subjects. But that also meant I had the honour of working with some incredible people and biblical scholars to produce this data, often seeking people out specifically for subjects. The Infographic Bible is 8.5” x 11” inches, but just a note – there is so much information contained on some of the charts, you will need your reading glasses to see it all! Also, while I love owning this book in hardcover, I’d also like to have the charts in electronic form for use in a classroom setting. I wanted the circle endpoints all laid on the X-axis rather than sitting adjacent to each other on the Y-axis, so that the connecting lines create a rainbow… indicating the hope that Jesus brings! Matt Chandler Between running the kids to soccer practice, trying to finish up projects at work and home, and visiting with a friend who really needs a listening ear, it’s hard for women to find time for in-depth, life-changing Bible study. How do we keep our wells full of His word? Thank God for the Faithlife Study Bible. What a resource . . . everything you need right at your fingertips, and it’s FREE! What a gift Logos has given women around the world!
