About this deal
The Glycerin has always been a highly cushioned shoe with a premium upper and smooth ride, and version 19 is no different in that respect. It's a solid update with an improved upper that is more breathable and adaptable. There is a comfortable amount of padding around the heel and tongue, and although I found the forefoot to fit a touch narrow, my feet felt secure without any slipping. The biggest difference between the outsoles of the Glycerin 19 and the 18 is that the 19 has one long price of rubber on the medial side that extends from the rearfoot, all the way to the end of the midfoot just before where the forefoot starts. The maiden voyage of the Glycerin GTS was a 5-mile hilly route. Although they had an ample bounce out of the box, they were stiff and I knew I was in for a break-in period. Delivery timescales are esimates in working days; Public Holidays, Saturday's and Sunday's are NOT classed as working days. This long piece of rubber makes ride transitions smoother and also increases midfoot stability and structure because there is less flex in the midfoot.

They get stiffer too when cold. It's not a ton, but it's noticeable, which makes them even duller in the winter. We froze these shoes to 31°F (-0.6°C) and repeated our flex and durometer tests. The midsole was 17.4% firmer and the flex of the shoes was 60.2% stiffer than when measured at room temperature.Kaleb: "There is a small yet noticeable spring in the DNA LOFT midsole. The energy return is not as explosive as other daily training shoes, but given the level of comfort and smooth transitions, I was more than pleased with the ride of the Glycerin. I was able to use these shoes for a variety of runs, but given the lower energy return, I would recommend them for longer or recovery runs."
Cut in half: Brooks Glycerin 19 Review (2023) | RunRepeat
If you’re looking for a super soft, super-bouncy ride similar to the ZoomX Invincible, you won’t find it in the Glycerin 19. This year, Brooks grouped the two together under the same name. The Brooks Glycerin 19 GTS dons Brooks’ GuideRail technology to add subtle guidance.Longtime fans of the Glycerin won’t notice many differences between the new model and the outgoing one, and the max-cushioned experience remains the same. One new feature of the Glycerin this year, though, is the addition of a support version, too—the Glycerin 19 GTS.
