Yes, it can be used to paint clothes and all other items of fabric such as sofas, shoes and soft furnishings.

A. Our Fabric Paint is not an acrylic paint, it is made from polyurethanes and so is a lot more flexible. We wouldn't recommend using an acrylic paint on fabric. A. No, FabriCoat is designed to dry with a soft, flexible finish, allowing you to recolour, or change the colour of your fabric items without changing how they feel. However, if you apply too much fabric paint, or if the material you are applying it to feels very soft/silky/velvety prior to application, then it may slightly stiffen the fabric. This can be reduced by brushing the fabric afterwards with our Cleaning Brush. Unlike natural dyes that were never exactly alike in hue and intensity, synthetic dyes can be easily manufactured consistently and in large quantities which explains the rise in popularity in the fashion and textile industry. In this blog, we discuss the history of Fabric Dye, the difference between natural and synthetic dyes, and how it compares to Fabric Paint. History of Dyeing Fabric A. Yes, FabriCoat is incredibly versatile and can be used on any fabric item including chairs, sofas, upholstery, clothes, curtains, car interiors, carpets and many more!

hairline marks (less than 1.5mm) which are naturally occurring in wood, metal or high gloss finishes, or formed during the manufacturing process; Pour the paint into a bowl and dip in the Paint Brush. Rub this into the fabric and it will instantly soak in and change the colour. Apply one coat this way and leave to dry.In this blog, we look at the process involved in changing the colour of a velvet upholstered dressing table stool from a dusty pink colour to a ‘Hawaiian Blue’. There are many different colours to choose from in our FabriCoat Fabric Paint range, so there is a colour to suit everyone. We recommend that the fabric you are changing should be the same colour or lighter than the colour you are applying. In the first instance, we will settle valid claims by sending you a specialised stain remover product (if appropriate), or cleaning or repairing your damaged product as we see fit. If the product cannot be satisfactorily cleaned or repaired, we will replace the part or product. The product remains soft and flexible when applied, and can be used to restore the colour of fabric, or change the colour completely. Its great for upholstery, headboards, curtains, lamp shades and all other fabrics; it can even be used on outdoor fabrics such as garden furniture cushions, awnings and canopies.
