About this deal

Sam: “ Angron was one of the most difficult as he was the first. We had no idea how he would be received, as we were dealing with one of the most iconic figures in the Imperium’s history. We needed to set the scale in relation to the rest of the miniature range, plus we had to get across the brutality of Angron and the sense that he was unstoppable. John Blanche’s iconic artwork was the starting point, mixed with gladiatorial details.” Fulgrim, Primarch of the Emperor’s Children

Some even refused to admit that Ferrus had died at all. Decapitation? That’s just a flesh wound! He’s fine! Even Fulgrim agrees! You’d think Vulkan would be more understanding, of all people… Battle of Xalladin — The Iron Hands and Imperial Fists nearly come to blows over the relic known as the Brimstone Heart. [53h] Sam: “ Guilliman was a pleasure to sculpt, as he’s very much the quintessential Space Marine. It was important to me to keep the silhouette very clean, which can be difficult when figures are armed with giant power fists. That’s why we went with a pose where he’s drawn the Gladius Incandor with his right hand, and the Hand of Dominion is holding the scabbard by his side, retaining the overall Space Marine form. His Armour of Reason is very ornate, with lots of intricate detailing – a mix of Ultramarines iconography and details influenced by Roman sculpture.” Perturabo, Primarch of the Iron Warriors White Dwarf 262 (US), "Index Astartes First Founding: Hand of Justice, The Iron Hands Space Marine Chapter" The war machines of the Necrons are things of impossible science and countless arcane technologies. To the young species of the galaxy, the energies and weaponry of these strange engines of destruction are more akin to magic than anything recognisable as physical engineering. When the Heresy began, Fulgrim was sent by Horus to use his renowned oratory skills to sway his brother to their cause. However, Ferrus remained loyal to the Emperor and denounced Fulgrim and Horus as traitors. The two brothers dueled and Fireblade was broken by Ferrus and Fulgrim stole Forgebreaker and with it, rendered his brother unconscious. The two primarchs would later meet again on Istvaan V where they once again dueled, but this was to be the last time; with Ferrus wielding the reforged Fireblade and Fulgrim wielding Forgebreaker. In the end, Fulgrim was disarmed and in his panic drew the daemonic Blade of Laeran, which provided him with the strength to strike down his beloved brother, Ferrus. Fulgrim was hesitant to deliver the killing blow until the Daemon within the blade twisted his mind into finishing the duel. Ferrus was beheaded and Fulgrim became fully possessed by the daemon within the Blade of Laeran. [31] c. M35: Moirae Schism — A civil conflict which occurred during the Nova Terra Interregnum. During this schism, which affected all branches of the Adeptus Mechanicus and those Imperial factions closely tied to it, the Iron Hands chapter stood at the brink of destroying itself in an internal chapter war. The crisis came to a head when Moirae elements of Clan Dorrvok attempted to seize Chapter Gene-Seed and impose adherence to their creed at a genetic level. In the end, they were stopped by Clan Raukaan. [53f] Ultimately the Great Clan Council of the Iron Hands were able to settle the matter by exiling the Moirae dissidents from the chapter, with both sides swearing never to take up arms against each other. Almost a full third of the chapter split away to become a fleet based divergent branch of the Iron Hands. This branch became known as the Sons of Medusa. [5]

The campaign on One-Five-Four Four is not going well for the Imperial forces, and especially not for Ferrus Manus, primarch of the Iron Hands Legiones Astartes, who is troubled not only by the existence of the weaknesses within, but by the hinderances without as well; the terrain and fluid savagery of the Eldar enemies are taking a toll on his battle-group and placing him behind schedule. Even the latest victory, a battle commanded by his determined First Captain, Gabriel Santar, does not satisfy him, and neither does the proving correct of the Iron Hands' creed; the flesh is weak, at least out in the desert and at least where the attached regiments of the Imperial Army are concerned. Not only is Manus concerned with being behind schedule, and losing face in front of his brothers Mortarion and Vulkan, but the possibility that Eldar witchcraft could be causing his Astartes to under-perform fills him with ire. This alien, single-edged blade once contained the captured essence of the daemon that possessed Fulgrim, but lost much of its power once the daemon was freed from imprisonment within the sword to inhabit the unfortunate primarch's body for a short time.

Necrodermis is the xenos material created over sixty million standard years ago by the Necrontyr species that is often described as "living metal." It was originally used by the Necrontyr to construct their massive sub-light starships that explored and settled the Milky Way Galaxy millions of standard years ago. One of the most physically powerful of the Primarchs, whose skills as an artificer of arms and armour were every bit as potent as his martial prowess, Ferrus Manus despised weakness. By his presence on the battlefield, the Primarch drove his men to acts of superhuman endurance and remorseless fervour. M41: Defence of Fabris Callivant — The Iron Hands defended the homeworld of their allies, House Callivant, from Ork forces. [37b] [37c] White Dwarf 286 (US), "The Eye of the Storm: Space Marine Chapters fighting in the Eye of Terror", pp. 66-71 In Codex Supplement: Iron Hands (8th Edition) it is stated that Kardan Stronos exists as the official Chapter Master, but like his predecessors was elected by the Iron Council. It is stated that the Iron Hands Chapter Master does not serve for life. [53e] One-Five-Four Four - an Eldar-controlled world, the Iron Hands fight to pacify the desert regions. The story takes place after the Emperor's quitting of the Great Crusade. As the Daemonic entity was confronted by the Clan Companies Raukaan and Sorrgol in their entirety on Gaudinia Prime, Iron Father Kristos was corrupted, both body and soul. Everywhere, the adherents of Kristos (known as Kristosians) were overcome by the twisted perfection of strange flesh engines -- the harder they attempted to repress their urges with logic, the faster they succumbed. Howling Daemons of Slaanesh burst forth from tears in reality, and set themselves upon the beleaguered Iron Hands. With them came warriors of the Emperor's Children. Amid the madness, the bejewelled Daemon itself strode forth to confront the Iron Hands. The Blade of the Laer, known also as the Silver Blade of Laer, was a Chaos Daemon Weapon recovered by Fulgrim, primarch of the Emperor's Children Legion, in the aftermath of the Imperial xenocide campaign known as the Cleansing of Laeran during the latter years of the Great Crusade.
