There are three HDMI 2.0 inputs with support for 4K at 60Hz, HDR, ALLM, HDCP 2.2, and CEC. One of the HDMI inputs also supports eARC. Contrary to what is stated in Hisense’s marketing, this TV doesn’t support HDMI 2.1, VRR or HDR10+. There are many TVs, at all sorts of prices, which make us suggest you buy a soundbar. The Hisense A6G is a TV that makes us shout ‘BUY A SOUNDBAR’ at the tops of our voices. It’s fitted with an audio system of two full-range drivers powered by a total of 16 watts - and while Hisense may have been shooting for ‘smooth and inoffensive’ it’s actually ended up with ‘bland and uninvolving’.

That said, the feet are worth noting here. Although relatively small and subtle, they’re adjustable, meaning you can bring them in to better fit a small TV stand or push them out to slip a soundbar between them. Detail levels, for example, are respectably high - and that’s true of even the finest details of texture or skin-tone. There’s very agreeable insight into darker tones, without the rather artificial cast some screens can succumb to when trying to eke out the minutiae from dimly lit scenes. Unfortunately, you won’t find Apple TV Plus or Disney Plus on this TV, meaning you’ll need a streaming device to access either of the services of this TV.
