About this deal

I would happily recommend this fun board game to friends. It has all the fun of the classic clue game and makes perfect rainy day entertainment. We will be trying out the others in the series. Items that are not available in store will take 3-5 working days (excluding weekends and bank holidays) to be delivered to your nominated store.

Turn the five yellow drink bases facedown, take one without looking, and put it in the center of the gameboard. Super Cluedo Challenge (1986) [9] is an advanced version of the Cluedo rules, introducing three new characters (Captain Brown, Miss Peach and Mr. Slate-Grey) and three more weapons (the blunderbuss, poison and axe). The rules are greatly expanded, with each card having coloured and numbered squares in each corner, which are uncovered by special card holders. These allowed 'clues' to be given by uncovering a small segment of the card, showing only a colour/number. Rather than the remaining cards being dealt out at the start of the game, they had to be 'discovered' by reaching one of the many blue counters scattered on the board. Several variants of the game have been developed for children, most notably Clue Jr. and Cluedo Jr., which usually involve the disappearance of something or someone rather than a murder. These variants generally use the standard six surnames with different first names or titles, often changing the gender of the original character. In the VCR Game, Sergeant Gray is a crazed mental patient who escaped from the nearby asylum and evaded discovery by posing as a police officer. In the 1996 musical, Professor Plum disguises himself as the orchestra's piano player while an imposter masquerades as a "dorky school teacher" and has three random audience members serve as accomplices in choosing the culprit, location, and murder weapon. First thing first, Cluedo Junior comes in a very nice and well organized box that includes two smaller cardboard boxes. The first one stores the rulebook, a notepad with multiple game sheets and the game-board. All these components are of very good quality and are designed with eye-catching graphics and vibrant colours. The second variant of the game, “Science Lab Mystery” is instead a fully competitive game. In this case the young detectives are called to identify which kid set-off a model Volcano in the science lab, which substance they poured into it and which class the culprit should have attended when they activated the volcano. Clue Jr., a "Let's Read and Play" book written by Sara Miller and illustrated by Jim Talbot released in 2004, introduced five new suspects: a butler, a cook, a gardener, a maid, and a repairman.

Depending on edition, the playing pieces are typically made of coloured plastic, shaped like chess pawns, or character figurines. Occasionally they are made from wood or pewter.Parker Bros. released the Clue VCR Mystery Game in 1985, introducing four new characters to the lineup, the first change in Cluedo characters in 36 years. The new characters also appeared in a number of spin-off games and licensed products, such as Clue Master Detective (1988). [3] Miss Peach [ edit ] Clue of Cthulhu. (2000) A version of Cluedo using elements from the Cthulhu Mythos. This variant was offered at Gen Con 2000. Template:Fact In Clue: Discover the Secrets, Diana White is a former child celebrity who desires to be in the spotlight again. The 2002 edition attempted to combine the two variations of the character. Mr. John Green, also known as "Reverend Green", has a reputation for fraud, money laundering, and smuggling.

Editor Braunman ( Cluedo iOS) - Appearing only on the menu screens, he is the editor-in-chief who sends the reporter to gather material and solve the murder case in an allotted time. In the film, he is portrayed by Christopher Lloyd and depicted as a disgraced former psychiatrist of the World Health Organization who lost his medical license for having an affair with one of his patients and became an employee at the United Nations. In Ending C, he seemingly kills Mr. Boddy, only to later learn it was actually Boddy's butler, before being exposed and arrested. When I think of Cluedo, I think of a game of deduction with a nice tension generated by not knowing how much the other players know about the case. When someone finally gets the solution and tells everyone the tension dissipates and the mystery is solved for everyone fun. Revolver (originally depicted as a semi-automatic pistol, current editions typically represent an actual Pepper-box revolver)

Setup

The fact that the board is half the size of a normal game board means that it’s the right size for playing in a restaurant or pub. Director Rosewood - A middle-aged corporate execuctive who is dishonest about her investments. She wears a dark pink color similar to that of Madame Rose. In the film, she is portrayed by Madeline Kahn and is depicted as the widow of a nuclear physicist, an illusionist, and three other men, all of whom died under mysterious circumstances. In Ending C, she kills Yvette out of jealousy upon discovering she had an affair with one of her previous husbands before being exposed and arrested. Cluedo: Passport to Murder (2000) [22] was an update of Super Cluedo Challenge with the setting changed to an Orient Express style train in Istanbul station. There is very little change to the mechanics of the game (except you can only play the six original characters), with mainly cosmetic changes and updates to the characters.

Inspector Brown - A police inspector who comes to investigate the murder of Miles Meadow-Brook. In Clue Mysteries, released in 2005, Brown informs the players which suspects are lying. In 1986, Super Cluedo Challenge and Super Sleuth were released in the UK, introducing the second wave of new board-game characters: Analyst Hyacinth - A young forensic analyst who is the only one skilled enough to recognize tampered evidence. She wears a light purple-blue color similar to that of her namesake. There have been several television game shows based upon this game. There have been, to date, four seasons of the British version of Cluedo (and a Christmas version that in fact shows some similarity to the North American movie), and there have been other versions in Germany, France, Australia, Portugal and Scandinavia. The format for each puts two teams (each usually containing one celebrity and one person with law enforcement/research experience) against six in-character actors as the famed colour-coded suspects. There is a new murder victim every episode, who usually has it coming to them for one reason or another.
