The miniDSP Flex is the 3rd generation of our popular line of compact 2-in, 4-out audio processors. It retains the powerful floating point processor but rethinks the I/O architecture so we can provide our customers with different input-output versions in this compact chassis. The initial versions are single-ended analog I/O (RCA), balanced analog I/O (TRS) and digital out with superb audiophile specification for your enjoyment. Special features such as calibrated SPL measurement enabled under free Room EQ Wizard (REW) software As a standard USB audio microphone, UMIK-2 is compatible with any software. The following proven platforms with plug&play integration. Flex Eight with Dirac Live®:Full Range correction (20~20kHz) + IIR (10bands/outputs) /(Note: FIR and IIR filters on the input channels are not available to the end user if the Dirac Live upgrade is installed.) MiniDSP partnered up with the Danish brand ICEpower® to create the miniDSP PWR-ICE125 and the miniDSP PWR-ICE250. Therefore, the amplifiers combine miniDSP's digital signal processing expertise with the ICEpower® plate amplifier technology. The results play real-time control of the onboard Digital Signal Processors (DSP) to design your ideal crossovers paired with excellent audio quality and high power output plate amplifiers, which makes them perfect for high performing audio systems.
Featuring DiracLive room correction, the SHD allows for precise measurements and customized correction filters. It offers versatile connectivity options, including analog and digital inputs, USB audio, and network streaming through Volumio. Additionally, the SHD boasts full DSP crossover/equalizer applications with advanced features, making it ideal for creating and fine-tuning various audio systems. It is safe to say that the miniDSP UMIK-1 omni-directional USB microphone has become the non-plus-ultra for affordable yet highly accurate acoustic measurement. The USB-calibrated UMIK-1 provides low noise while being easy to use. Thanks to the USB interface and the unique calibration files provided with it, you will be ready to conduct your first measurement and make recordings within a few easy steps. I am amazed once again! End to end performance this good? Remember this is the performance of ADC and DAC combined. And we still manage to have distortion at < -110 dB (18+ bits). With multiple digital inputs and eight unbalanced analog output channels, the miniDSP Flex Eight can implement active speakers up to stereo four-way. Flexible 2x8 signal routing supports many other configurations such as two-way, three-way and multiple subwoofers. As always, a full suite of miniDSP’s tried and proven audio processing functionality is included: FIR filters and parametric EQ on the input channels, and parametric EQ, crossovers, advanced biquad programming and delay on each output channel. What a nice combination of functionality, usability and performance! As with many DAC companies, it is clearly Minidsp has put strong focus on chasing away sources of noise and distortion. Yes, there is some work left to do with intermodulation distortion but other than that, measurement after measurement put a smile on my face. All AV processor and receiver companies lose any excuses they have for not providing this level of performance seeing how the Flex also implements various signal processing modules.
