Elle Kennedy - Book Series In Order Elle Kennedy - Book Series In Order

Manmanman. this book reeks of 2016. it’s like elle kennedy took the lyrics of skater boi by avril lavigne but made it more 14 year old on tumblr angsty. i have so many issues with this book so i have to go character by character. From New York Times bestselling author Elle Kennedy comes the return to Sandover Prep, where secrets lurk in the dark and no one is safe when they come into the light.I was really looking forward to this new series from Elle Kennedy. I was hoping it would have some Erin Watt Royals vibes (it did) and I was intrigued by the blurb. Did I end up loving it? Not really. I guess I liked it. I’m having a hard time deciding. There were a lot of great things about it, but there was also some stuff that bugged me. my only real issue with sloane is that she has a “not like other girls” complex. she also has the “i’m only friends with boys because girls are too much drama” while also being the cause of all drama in her friend group. I THOUGHT RJ'S character was unique and different from most male MCs in romance books. I would describe him as introverted but not shy or awkward, just prefers the company of computers to people sometimes 😅 Sure, he was a little too edgy and a little too good at everything but I didn't really care. I love the nerdy ones so this hit right for me lol Someone close Sandover Prep- it’s the worst school in America with less adult supervision of students than Hogwarts.

Misfit (Elle Kennedy) – A Novel Glimpse Review: Misfit (Elle Kennedy) – A Novel Glimpse

Misfit is Elle Kennedy's newest addicting read. This book kept me engaged from start to finish. I listened to the audiobook and never wanted to push pause. RJ's flighty mother marries a rich guy and suddenly he's immersed in an entirely different world of prep school, private schools, and a new step brother. A loner by his own admission, RJ doesn't like to form ties because he knows it won't last. After all, the guy has switched schools 5 times in the last 3 years due to his mother's moving around. He's a rebel without a cause and I fell head over heels for him immediately. I imagine you have figured out there is a lot more going on than romance. If Gossip Girl and Off Campus series had a child, Misfit would be the result: teenagers, romance, friendship and loads of drama. For the same price, you have five POVs instead of only two -which also means you’ll have ⅖ of the romance. While I enjoyed RJ-Sloane’s banter, it was far from EK masterpieces. Having so many POVs decreased the amount of development per character and the romance suffered from that-or maybe I’m not that much into the insta-attraction anymore. The friendship between the four boys was my favorite part of the story, especially the dynamics of Silas-Lawson.

Although I liked all the characters and didn't find it hard to follow, I still was thrown off by the multiple POV's. You really have to pay attention to see whose part of the story you're on. The ending was a bit jaw dropping and I wouldn't call it a huge cliffhanger, but it leaves you wanting so much more! Dar, atunci când este trimis la aceeași școală cu Fenn, fratele său vitreg, situația începe să se schimbe. Sloane did get her own POV in this book as well. There weren’t enough of her chapters to endear her to me, honestly. She was an “ice queen” who was all about hooking up, running, and taking care of her sister. Despite that, I did like her with RJ. Their relationship moved fast but had some sweet moments. I also liked how her ex-boyfriend Duke played into the story. There was also an interesting mystery surrounding something that happened to her sister Casey that I wouldn’t have minded spending more time on. Mijn god. Mijn. God. Kunnen we het er allemaal met elkaar over eens zijn dat Elle Kennedy moet stoppen met YA schrijven? Na De Royals dacht ik dat dat wel duidelijk zou zijn, maar blijkbaar is herhaling nodig. SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books provided a complimentary physical copy of this novel. All opinions expressed in this review are my own. The publication date was November 27, 2022.

While it sounds cliche, outcast loner meets the headmaster's daughter, forbidden romance thing. This book was anything but. RJ and Sloane were such charismatic personalities that I couldn't get enough. I love reading about females in NA romance that own who they are and they're also not shy virgins. I seriously loved how confident Sloane is with her sexuality and appeal to men. She knows she's attractive and she makes RJ work for it. And god did I love how he chased her. C. Him ogling his roommate- no. Creepy and gross. Your roommate should be safe in his room. If it had been a girl, would this have been written in his POV? (Well, given the other mess in this book, probably. And it’d have been equally disturbing.)In addition to this she ruined multiple characters giving us their POVS like I absolutely don’t want to read Silas or Lawson’s stand alones after reading how awful their thoughts were in their POVs. Had they just been side characters and I didn’t have to see Silas talking about his crush on his friends gf (a crush he’s had forever while having a gf he doesn’t care about) - I’d be more interested in his stand alone. But trying to give him a main character personality with main character unresolved feelings etc when he’s a side character ruined him.

Elle Kennedy Prep — Elle Kennedy

This pulled me in straight away and had me engrossed throughout, the only gripe I had was the various pov’s many stories within a story branching off into their own stories. It’s easy enough to keep up its just something I for one am not a huge fan of but needless to say I did enjoy it overall and has me anticipating the next book. the ending was incredibly unsatisfying. i don’t mean the cliffhanger-ish part, I mean that RJ and Sloane’s resolution was rushed and uneventful. it was just boring and made me stop caring about their relationship at all. The more they banter, the more the attraction between them grows. But Sloane’s father isn’t the only threat to RJ—her ex-boyfriend, Duke, doesn’t like the new kid, and if he has to destroy him, he will. RJ is going to need the help of his friends, and maybe an attitude adjustment, if he’s going to prove he’s worthy of Sloane and survive senior year. The author brilliantly portrayed the attitudes and changes that occurred. The story is well-plotted with a few unpredictable moments at the end of the book. There are plenty of secrets, unlawful activities, bullying, and more woven into the story focused around the romance of RJ and Sloane. There is also a mystery concerning Sloane’s sister Casey’s accident that occurred the prior year. Hopefully, book two in the series will fully resolve this mystery. is the first full length book in author Elle Kennedy's 'Prep' series. Spoken in 'multiple Perspectives.' She was named the RITA Finalist for her amazing work in her Contemporary Series Romance, Suspense/Adventure titled Silent Watch. Looking more into how she does her writing, it is clearly evident that her characters definitely come first during her writing. More specifically, she claims to always get ideas for really awesome characters and then take time to thoroughly brain storm the ideas right until she comes up with the best world to place them in. a perfect example of how she is able to achieve this is in her book midnight rescue in which she claims to have had a heroine in mind in advance of course alongside other main characters in the book. What followed was simply the piecing together of smaller sections of her imagination for the book which was done and ended up with a rather solid plot. POVs is too many. At most, I’d have been fine with Fenn, RJ, Sloane. I never need inside Lawson’s head ever again. Silas- there was literally no point to his POV or his character.
