The girl knows that the star will eventually have to return to the sky, but when it does it doesn’t disappear from her life as it shines down from the sky watching over her. As the story progresses we see how kind the young girl is. She treats the star as if it were a pet, doing all the things that one would expect and more. She cleans the star, feeds the star, reads to the star and shows so much love for her pet. A beautiful friendship is formed.I love the meaning of this book it teaches us that being kind, helping others, being a friend and giving all of our love can help others to recover and shine the brightest light. Ik weet niet of het komt door het prachtige, op rijm geschreven (klinkt als een slecht idee, is het ook quasi altijd maar hier helemaal niet), verhaal van Corinne of door de grappige, tedere tekeningen van Rosalind.
