I am an advocate for the intention behind the approach. But you need to be committed and see past the quirks. If you are, you can take immediate corrective action, which will likely improve your oral health long term. ENHANCED SMART PRESSURE SENSOR signals red, white or green to alert you whether you’re brushing too hard, too softly or with just the right amount of pressure I would argue do you even need the iO Series at all. Don’t get me wrong, they are great. But, a basic model cleans just as well. Its Lithium-Ion battery still needs charging overnight but will last for over an hour of brushing from there on in, which should cover you for a couple of weeks. The average brush head price has doubled with the iO bristles. I see no logical justification for this, other than, they can.Ignoring all the technicalities the result is a more gentle and less aggressive brushing sensation than you might be used to from Oral-B. I now have my own child and I’ve tried to encourage my child to brush their teeth but it’s not been easy to be consistent when I’m not brushing regularly enough myself and I have pretty poor technique. The iO uses a frictionless magnetic drive, which according to the company "distributes energy more efficiently to the tips of the bristles, resulting in a smooth, quiet, sensational cleaning experience." It did not take any getting used to when I started using this brush, which has not always been the case with other electric brushes I've tried. There's no dizzying feeling from the vibration; it just felt normal.
