About this deal

Aurora Borealis Northern Lights Star ProjectorIt's highly customizable, the patterns are realistic and the music rhythm mode is impressive. This is one of our favorites. ★★★★½ Having completed a recent Brainstorm Toys Deep Space Home Planetarium and Star Projector review, we feel that it deserves a spot in this buying guide as a great STEM toy that will captivate kids ages six and up, and, in our opinion, spark their interest in all things space-related. This change of mind return policy is in addition to, and does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law including any rights you may have in respect of faulty items. To return faulty items see our Returning Faulty Items policy. Designed for home offices, home cinemas, gaming rooms, spas, bedrooms and house parties, this laser-powered 'galaxy projector' takes viewers on a journey through multicolored clouds. When we reviewed the BlissLights Sky Lite 2.0 review, we found it very easy to set up and liked its easy operation.

MULTI-FUNCTION DESIGN: Orzorz projector can be projected at a 180 degree angle. It can be projected not only to the ceiling, but also to the wall. Rotating function and 3 mode timer. While the terms are often used interchangeably, star projectors can also be used to refer to unrealistic night and ambient or mood-enhancing lights that aren't scientifically accurate. Planetariums on the other hand are strictly realistic and accurate depictions of the night sky, which are sometimes even time and location-sensitive to show you the night sky as it appears at a given time. How do I choose a star projector? It is aimed at children, and the stars aren't at all scientific like you would find on the more 'adult' Sega Homestar Flux. Still, it features a slide projector and three easy-to-handle discs containing 24 color images taken by NASA and the Hubble Telescope. Each disc has a theme; Nebulas, Spacecraft & Astronauts and Planets & the Moon.

The Orzors Galaxy Lite Home Planetarium Star Projector is incredibly easy to operate, use three buttons to turn on the device, start/stop rotation, and set the sleep timer — that's all there is to it. MULTIPLE SLIDES: Come with 5 different high precision slides: Milky Way,Moon,Earth and moon,Pillar of creation,NGC 2359. You can switch these slides in different scenes. We will update more slides in the future. Perfect for kids, teen girls, adults bedroom decoration. The image shows the NGC 2359 (Thor's Helmet) projection on a wall. The dark areas on either side are doorways. (Image credit: Tantse Walter)Star projectors come in different shapes, specifications and sizes because they serve various purposes. Some models are designed as night lights for children, so they are simpler and prioritize creating a pleasant atmosphere rather than realistic star patterns. On the other hand, there are highly accurate star projectors that provide a scientific representation of the night sky, giving you the experience of being inside a planetarium. Its body resembles a well-known sci-fi character (R2D2); we're sure this wasn't an accident. A pill-shaped device pivots vertically on a stand to expose either the planetarium end, which is ultimately a light with a plastic cover over the top allowing small 'stars' to be outwardly projected or a slide projector with a focusing ring. Using another of the supplied light covers), the star projector can also be used as a simple blue-colored night light. Encalife Ambience Galaxy & Star Projector:A neat combination of a star projector and Bluetooth speaker built into one. It isn't scientifically accurate but it displays vivid nebula-inspired patterns to enhance the ambience in any room. ★★★½ The planetarium is controlled using three on-body buttons and is rechargeable using USB-C (Image credit: Tantse Walter)

The projector has a three-watt LED bulb that can project up to 106 inches in diameter from a distance of 60 to 90 inches away. Those ultra-bright lights are also easily visible on most surfaces, though some reviewers wish the projector was bright enough to see in dimly lit places. Control is simple, using three buttons — power, rotation and sleep timer — and it is powered by a battery which you can charge with a USB-C cable. You're not tied to a power source like with the Homestar Flux, and you don't have to keep changing the batteries as you do with the National Geographic model—again — another happy medium. Most star projectors will have a sleep timer — we look for how many options for the sleep timer duration you have and whether it is effective and reliable.
