This is not to be confused with “Italian” cream sodas, which are sodas usually flavored with a fruity syrup and topped with actual cream. That’s another story for another post, for sure. The Sodastream Crystal does the same thing as the others but instead of a plastic bottle to carbonate your water you have a nice crystal carafe. Keep in mind that sodastream doesn’t just provide you with cheaply made sparkling water. You can also flavour your soda with a variety of different syrups and cordials. Sodastream has their own line of flavoured syrups but you can pour just about any syrup you want into your sparkling water. The Sodastream One touch is basically exactly the same in design except it's electric and there are 3 buttons on the top instead of one. Diet Orange Mango manages to cover up the telltale diet aftertaste with the mango infusion. As a result, it’s one of the better diet SodaStream flavors you can buy. Although, it’s a decent choice.
Peach Fruit Drops is one of my favorites. It has 0 calories but is flavored with all-natural ingredients. The resulting mixture is subtle but refreshing at the same time. It’s one of the excellent choice syrups for creating a classic “flavored sparkling water” experience with your SodaStream. My favorite is Sparkling Natural Green Tea. It’s plenty sweet and has a little citrus flavor, too. It’s not quite as herbal as warm traditionally-steeped tea, but it’s good enough to remind the tongue of iced green tea. Some of the best flavors are remakes of classic soda pop beverages or fizzy water that you can buy from the store. Finally we have the Sodastream Duo, the only difference here is that it works with both glass bottles and plastic. Once again, a personal preference.
Caffeine-Free Diet Cola is next on the list, and it’s definitely a much sweeter SodaStream Fizzi flavor than most others. It doesn’t have any caffeine but the sugary blast you’ll experience is enough to make you forget that fact. It’s definitely going to be more popular with Pepsi enthusiasts than with Coca-Cola fans. Berry Mix is another great fruity soda flavor. it is an excellent choice. It uses real fruit juice and natural sweeteners to produce a carbonated beverage that kids and adults alike will find enjoyable on hot summer days or as an afternoon treat. It is quite sweet, though, so folks with more bitter palettes will want to look elsewhere. Country Time Half and Half, which produces a lemonade iced tea of a particularly dark color. The fruity and citrusy notes are very enjoyable for those who already like sweetened iced tea. However, fans of unsweetened iced tea will want to look elsewhere. Dr. Pepper? What about Dr. Pete? You might have already guessed where these Soda stream flavours got their inspiration.
I love my Sodastream! But, sometimes I get tired of the store-bought syrups & flavors that are available. (Or I’m just looking to save some money!) Once again, another from their range which is exactly the same as the classic apart from a slightly different look. Diet Orange is also available for those of you counting your calories. It’s sweetened with sucralose, but this difference isn’t enough to totally eliminate the Orange Crush similarities. Overall, it’s a decent diet syrup although you can still detect the signature diet aftertaste. When it comes to bottles, I recommend the 500ml bottle which you can take with you on the go. I find that pouring the sparkling water from the bottle it comes with into a bottle I can easily carry around with me usually loses the fizz. Crystal Light Wild Strawberry Energy flavor is a mouthful both in terms of its name and its flavor profile. It produces a pink soda pop from your SodaStream and combines both strawberry and bubblegum tastes. It’s an excellent choice for carbonated drinks for teenagers as a result, although the flavors might be a little too sugary for most adult preferences.I’ve crunched the numbers, did the maths and experimented on your behalf to answer your questions. Starting with... Which sodastream should I buy? And what does it all mean!!! There’s no actual dairy in this style of cream soda, but the vanilla flavor itself lends a soft ‘creamy’ impression to the soda. A touch of lemon juice keeps it refreshing and not too cloying. Let's assume every glass is 330ml of sparkling water as that’s what you would get out of a can of pop. Plus its a nice size. None of this 200ml serving malarkey. SodaStream also puts out a huge variety of fruity soda flavors. I’ve got plenty of favorite flavors to tell you about.
The diet variant of the cream soda flavor isn’t nearly as rich in sugar or taste as its predecessor, but it’s still worthwhile if you want to watch your waistline.

This flavor combines the standard energy flavor from the first syrup with a big mango blast. I was very pleased to discover that the mango notes totally covered up the metallic aftertaste that you can detect and most of the other syrup variants. So, energy drinks flavors create a Great-Tasting Seltzer. The next question you will have is how much does it work out per glass or bottle. Considering the fact that once you have your sodastream, it’s not an endless supply of sparkling water. The Sodastream Spirit is your classic option. Basically it has one button on the top and you press it a number of times depending on how fizzy you want your sparkling water.
