About this deal

The inevitable question will be are they as good as the FIIL T1 Pro, Taotronics SoundLiberty 94 and Tronsmart Apollo Bold. Firstly, the ANC is better than the first two, and at least on part with the Tronsmart. The form factor on the FIIL is more suited to sports, and the Soundliberty 94 are more comfortable, but with a poorer microphone quality. Setting up the SOUNDPEATS T2 Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling Wireless Earbuds is as easy as any other Bluetooth headphones. As usual, it’s suggested to fully charge them before first use. Once that is finished, opening the lid while the earbuds are in the charging case automatically sets them into pairing mode (only the first time, not every subsequent time you open the lid). Find them in your phone or other device’s Bluetooth menu and tap on SOUNDPEATS T2 to pair. When you want to use them after that, just open the lid of the charging case and they connect to your phone automatically. Pairing them to another device is easy as well – hold the multi-function button on either earbud for 6 seconds and they enter pairing mode again. This does not unpair them from the original device. To switch between devices in the future, you have to manually disconnect (but not unpair) them from one device to get them to connect to the other, which is what I’ve come to expect when switching the same earbuds between devices.

Like the Sonic, you can switch between two active calls by holding down either button, although I did not test this, and hail voice assistant with a triple tap. The SoundPEATS T2 offer good sound quality for the price. Overall, they sound fairly well rounded and balanced for a pair of wireless earbuds, the treble, mid and bass is all present and isn’t outweighing or fighting for airtime between one another. The earbuds are powered by 12mm drivers which offer good stereo separation for providing an immersive listening experience to both music and visual content such as YouTube videos, TV shows and movies. The earbuds offer a well-balanced sound for the price. As I mentioned at the top, I listen to podcasts throughout the day. I can easily listen for 4-6 hours a day while working, doing household chores, or even just relaxing. Because of this, I use just one earbud so I can keep my other ear free if someone needs to get my attention or just so I can be more aware of what’s going on around me. True wireless earbuds have been a great addition to my life so I can always keep one charging, ready to go if the other one’s battery gets low, and also so I can give my ears a rest throughout the day. On the front of the case, there are three LED indicators that show the charging level of the case but also when the earbuds themselves are charging. I like that the case shows both of these as it’s handy to know when the earbuds are fully charged by only needing to glance at the case, some pricier earbuds don’t feature this ability on their case so it’s nice to see it on these. Aside from the branding on the sides, there’s not too much to look at around the earbuds. Their design is fairly simplistic, which gets the job done, and there are a couple of holes dotted around for microphones and LED indicator lights. The underside has charging pins as well as ear left/right indicators and the underside of the earbuds is also slightly rounded to give themselves a more ergonomic design that fits comfortably into the ear.The charging case for the T2 is compact and similarly sized to the competition. Like the earbuds, SoundPEATS has used plastic for the case which mostly features a matte finish but there are some glossy elements here and there for the logo as well as a glossy band across the case between the lid to break up the design. The charging case provides useful charging information at a glance.

The SoundPeats T2 is the company’s first foray into Active Noise Cancellation. For a reasonable price point they have a lot up their sleeve, but how well do these fare in real life? Több információ a jogairól. The earbuds feature an IPX5 water rating, so you can use this during an exercise without any worry about getting a bit of sweat on them. Unfortunately, there’s no companion app for these earbuds, so the touch controls are the only way to interface with the earbuds and cycle through the modes and any EQ adjustments you wish to make to the earbuds will need to be done in the app that you listen to music in. Battery LifeThe earbuds also feature a passthrough (or transparency) mode to feed the ambient sounds around you into the earbuds. This mode works well, there is a little bit of white noise, and it sounds a tiny bit muffled in comparison to no earbuds at all – but the mode is very usable. Of course, if you don’t want any ANC or passthrough going on, you can use the earbuds in their default normal mode and, I’m pleased to share, regardless of what mode you listen in the sound quality of the earbuds is consistent and remains the same across the board. Let's start at the beginning. Goods - such as the SOUNDPEATS products you buy - can't simply be shipped freely from country to country. When goods are imported into a different country or customs territory, there is a charge called Customs Duty that must apply. This is charged by the local customs authority where the goods are being imported into.

If Customs Duty is payable to your territory, you'll be responsible for paying it to the authorities, so SOUNDPEATS isn't involved in this process. Whether Customs Duty is payable, and by how much, depends on a whole lot of different things. For example, many countries have a 'low-value threshold' below which they do not charge any Customs Duty. The earbuds don't look too special, but their oval shape with a slight bump on the inside follows your ears' shape and makes them comfortable to wear for hours. The case may feel a bit heavy - the earbuds don't. The earpieces may move a little bit when you shake your head, but they're likely to stay in good, and the sound isn't altered by it. What's more, is that they are IPX5 waterproof - meaning they should survive rain and sweat.

What’s in the box?

There is no auto-pause, no button customisation, no app, no alternative latency modes. There is a little more latency than the Sonic, which is more noticeable when gaming. Single mode is initiated simply by leaving one bud in the case. Having tested extensively this weekend, they have performed as expected, only falling slightly short of the advertised total. The treble offered by the earbuds sounds good and clear but could do with a little more clarity on the top end for instruments such as percussion. The mid frequencies sound clear and, when listening to songs, vocals have good quality to them and are clear. Moving down to bass, it is present and deep but not in your face. I personally like this sound style of earbuds, but if you like “bass boosted” earbuds these may not be for you.

As far as the overall design goes for the earbuds, there’s not too much to complain about. The design is functional and, most importantly, they’re comfortable to wear when listening to them. Charging Casehours from the buds themselves, a further two charges from the case. Not quite up there with the Sonic, but not far off, and very good for ANC-enabled earbuds - giving at least 5 hours advantage over the SoundLiberty 94, for example.
