Blue Iris is great and works with probably more camera brands than most VMS programs, but there are brands that don't work well or not at all - Rings, Arlos, Nest, Some Zmodo cams use proprietary systems and cannot be used with Blue Iris, and for a lot of people Reolink doesn't work well either. Someone by the name lonestriker did a PR to HA to natively intergrate alarm trigger motion detection binary switch using the device PIR and video motion detection but it came to the dead end and got cancelled. I average around 2 doorbell presses a day and if you are getting way more than that then any delay is going to be more obvious for you.I haven't decided what I'm going to do with this camera yet but sometimes iIt's just not worth it to beat them at their own game and just go without. I had ultimately unplugged the IR lights on my device as I didn’t need them but you can adjust them through the api. When I posted the other day it was because I was just stupified that not only did the AD110 now need constant internet access to be configured, but it now REQUIRED internet to use it's features. The important part was finding out how to list the config options that way you can get an accurate list of all the things you want to change through the API.

Unfortunately there is no Google Home or Alexa support here, at least not officially, however Home Assistant fans rejoice! My doorbell is running off the initial firmware that was on it when I bought it (Sorry don’t remember what it is currently) and I know there has been at least 3-4 firmware upgrades since so I don’t know if the api is the same or even still accessible with the newer firmware. Agent DVR also supports remote access* with no port forwarding required, so you can monitor your cameras from anywhere, anytime. I only had 3 goals for this device… Local only, Feed video stream to something like Motioneye and pull doorbell presses into Home Assistant.
They had a real issue where x amount of these units would ship broken out of the box or quit working within days or weeks after installation and these were units people didn’t mess with trying to change settings and then on top of that you had the super buggy firmware where if you had used anything other than the mobile app to change a setting on it would brick the unit near instantly. Note that I 3D printed a much more aggressive mount for my doorbell just to really get the optimal angle for me.

It would also be nice if there was a way for HA to regain the foreground after a period of no speech on the intercom. I received my Amcrest AD110 video doorbell yesterday and was able to get both it and the included module for my existing mechanical chime hooked up. The latest method is the Amcrest2MQTT custom component which can be used to subscribe to any doorbell (or camera) event. this is different app from the Amcrest View Pro I used for my other Amcrest camera, they do not work across product types. I hadn't thought about it for a while but the Amcrest AD110 stopped waking the app a few months ago when someone hit the bell though it did ring the inside bell. We have a water fountain by the front door which the birds love, and so did the AD110 PIR sensor in letting us know about every bath they took. It's easy to install and use, and it comes with a user-friendly interface that works on mobiles, tablets and desktops.
