After running for more than 60 years, Corrie has released plenty of merchandise for fans to enjoy beyond the regular broadcasts on ITV1. Her first Corrie novel, set during the holidays, focuses on the character of Elsie Tanner, née Elsie Grimshaw. Written by Maggie Sullivan, the fifth book in the wartime Corrie saga is titled We'll Meet Again on Coronation Streetand it's a female-fronted, nostalgic story. Sullivan has written four other Coronation Street novels since 2017: Christmas On Coronation Street, Mother's Day on Coronation Street, Snow on the Cobbles and The Land Girls from Coronation Street . Inspired by the character of the same name in the ITV soap – played by Pat Phoenix from 1960-1973 and 1976-1984 – Elsie is a bold, resourceful, young woman determined to escape her brutal, dull life and make things better for herself.

And finally, Elsie Tanner is trying to lift the residents' mood by organising a trip to Blackpool, where they might finally be able to relax. He has served as an awards judge on numerous occasions for the likes of the BAFTA TV Awards, RTS Programme Awards and British Soap Awards. The 90-minute experience will take in the exterior sets of Coronation Street, Rosamund Street and Victoria Street. Daniel has been writing about soaps on Digital Spy since 2004 and took over as Soaps Editor in 2010. The DVD collection features 80 episodes from the 1960s, featuring the trials and tribulations of iconic characters like Ena Sharples, Elsie Tanner and a young Ken Barlow.
