We think this would be a game that could be played time and again and would go down a treat on Boxing Day or during New Year’s Eve shenanigans. Most of them include important text critical to game play, so very young kids with limited reading skills will struggle. The winner of the game is the player with the most free and protected GUBs in play in front of them. If you're primarily a strategy gamer that plays games with an older audience, I would suggest that you pass.
The second best part of this game might have to be the packaging, which in real life looks like an actual package of Ramen noodles!

If you have children that can read (and would rather pull your hair out than play another game of Uno), then I would recommend checking Gubs out. If the card drawn is an Event card, its effect is immediately played and the card is put in the discard pile. Each of the images is of iconic memes that have made (or are still making) their way around the internet.Simply work your way through the phases (collect 2 sets of 3, make a run of 9, collect 7 cards of one colour) and be the first to complete phase 10 with the lowest points to win. GUBS: A Game of Wit and Luck is a fast paced card game that will keep the players on the edge of their seat as they try to protect their GUBs from being stolen or lost. Since I felt like my actions did not matter (with the exception of keeping back a few defensive cards to counter a couple of the particularly nasty events and traps), my enjoyment and participation in the game quickly waned.
