It wasn't 1993's Jurassic Park - hell nothing has come close - but it was a fun effort, leading to a whole new trilogy which, again much like the Star Wars features, struggled with not knowing where the hell it was going.What that means from a practical standpoint, is that most of the film’s running time is spent servicing the plot, introducing those characters and setting them all on a collision course. Set a few years after the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Jurassic World Dominion sees our heroes attempting to adapt to daily life with Dinosaurs now inhabiting every corner of the globe. It has so much polish to key scenes that the more restricted, on-set scenes 'gathered around a cave' sequences take on an almost straight-to-video feel by comparison, feeling cheap and amateurish, no matter how good they look in 4K, they still look like B-roll footage.

I remember seeing it in the theater and even put my feet up on my seat when the raptors were chasing the kids through the kitchen. It adds an expansive opening sequence set 65 million years ago, which segues into a present-day scene of the T-Rex rampaging through a drive-in movie. but really there's a pervasive sense of missed opportunity in just about every aspect of this production and, perhaps much like Rise of Skywalker, you'll just be relieved when it's all over.Black levels are terrific, with strong depth of frame and plenty going on in the shadows when required. They also only rely on what their listing states hence why they have no clue that English is included.
