The Kidde C3010 is a 10-year, sealed battery, carbon monoxide alarm that uses electro-chemical sensing technology to protect you and your family from the dangers of carbon monoxide. The 10 year Kidde carbon monoxide alarm with slim-line designer casing and LED indicators, incorporating highly effective detector technology and a sleek finish.

Red LED – When a dangerous level of carbon monoxide is detected the red LED will pulse and a loud alarm pattern will sound.Event Memory – Red LED flashes every 60 seconds to alert that a high level of carbon monoxide has been detected within the last 14 days. When the unit detects carbon monoxide, the alarm pattern will be four (4) short beeps – followed by five (5) seconds of silence – followed by four (4) short beeps with a corresponding red LED flash. The inside cover of the mounting bracket features a quick reference guide for what to do in case of an alarm. The alarm incorporates an easy-to-use test / reset button which allows regular functional testing of the device's alarm facility. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag.

Even though the old one really was quite old, the mount plate on the new one is the same so no messing around drilling different holes etc. Bear in mind that carbon monoxide is known as "the silent killer" and fitting at least one or more of these detectors can help save your life.It looks good but I won't have a true measure of its quality and effectiveness until it saves my life.
