And finally- as a self described “lazy mom”- there’s nothing wrong with being mediocre unless your pride tells you there is. This was a very short but amazing read, congrats to the students of Limpsfield Grange School and thank you. But as long as we are more concerned with the Lord’s will and His perfect timing than with any desire to replicate someone else’s “system,” we can be truly content in the “good works that He has prepared in advance for us. At first I felt sympathy for the main characters but quickly I realized that they were all terrible people to begin with. She praised her momma and as she read (I listened to the audiobook read by the author) the Christ-like qualities of her mom I wondered if I would be spoken of like that one day when my kids are grown.

However, I consider myself a high capacity mom of 3 boys who wears many hats similar to Abbie, but I felt like I only read all the things I was subpar at that she excels.

The first short story in the collection has a private investigator trying to find out who pushed Humpty Dumpty off the wall. She speaks to the point, gives illustrations, provide real-life scenarios, and backs it all up with scripture.

This is neurodiverse teenager M’s reality, and throughout this slim but impactful novel, our protagonist candidly bares her emotions, detailing her experiences living in a world in which she doesn’t feel she belongs. I guess there’s just really something intriguing about imaginary creatures like monsters and unicorns. We're both cat lovers and agreed this story could possibly explain the mysterious scratches and hurts that seem to have appeared on family cats over the years. The truth is, you will need some support and guidance with life's inevitable ups and downs but you can have a glorious, fulfilled life and this is the truth too.I don't know if anyone else does this, but every time I have an appointment that is expected to take up most of the day (once travel is included), I tend to dutifully take along whatever novel I am reading but then only manage a few pages. If you’ve ever wondered how someone else “does it all,” I’ve got a spoiler alert for you: They don’t. This made it hard to review because I agree with each of these themes: Embracing motherhood, striving for excellence, not excusing poor behavior and choices.

Unfortunately the very next "young adult" story was about a thirteen year old boy that wanted to touch his best friend's breasts and "maybe even put [his] hand between her legs.
