About this deal
We tried out Arctic Monkeys’ R U Mine, and were impressed by the clear treble tones, which allowed the wailing guitars and thrashing hi-hats and snares to sound crisp and punchy. So, it’s got touch controls on the top panel a mesh grille and a rubber base and it’s available in two colours black or luna white.
While testing and comparing it with other speaker featuring Bluetooth 4 in my iPhone, I was able to get the maximum length on my office building of 120 feet of distance from the Kilburn 2.Placing the speaker in the middle of the table doesn’t matter where you are, you’re going to hear some form of music. Turning it to the maximum will do that though but then some people prefer the bass over a strong mid-range either or I left mine being punchy, it’s non distorting it’s not deep sub-bass either but there’s enough for a good experience across all genres of music.
For a Bluetooth speaker, there’s a bit of depth heard from front to back separating instruments from others and the audio never sounded boxy or enclosed, again you can control the amount that you want, neutral to vary for dim bright is an option as well. The Kilburn sounds bigger than it is with its Blumlein stereophony with a certain rear sound radiation, but it is still not a room sound miracle. When you will use the speaker you will come yo know that the speaker is usable for up to moderates outdoor use, they have endcaps of course on either end there on all four ends. There’s no smart functionality, but the Marshall look is spot on, completed by a trio of knobs up top for volume, bass and treble. In fact, a short 20mins charge nets you around 3hrs of playtime – great for when you’re out of juice.
