About this deal

The characters are realistic with problems of their own, combined to mesh together to enclose the main idea of this book…. Rock and roll is said to soothe the soul, but sometimes, things just don’t go the way that they’re supposed to. From the first pages my heart was in my mouth, phenomenal read, the characters are perfectly written, everyone of them a star, cannot wait for the next book. It's hard to put a finger on it, but there is no doubt by the end of the book that nothing can or will be the same. I just finished reading One for Sorrow and loved it, but naturally didn’t like the cliffhanger ending.

Well I could go on and on about how much I loved this latest book but all I can really say is please do yourself a big favour a read this one , it can be read as a stand-alone but it’s a shame to miss the previous books.

This book started with a bang and just kept rolling, definitely a “just one more chapter” kind of story. But when it becomes clear that every bomb is a trap designe d to kill them too, the possibility of facing it themselves starts to feel all too real. The number of twist and turns meant you were constantly on the edge of your seat and left you guessing right up to the end. This book keeps you so edge for so much of the story that once you do finish it, you will definitely need a lie down to actually process the insane journey this book takes you on!

Dear Ms Fields, please don’t leave us in limbo too long and those characters we know and love, you know, can we have a happy outcome for them? One of those glorious, heart-warming, beautifully atmospheric books that lifts you and transports you directly into the book. In alternate chapters titled "Before" that are set back in time before the current situation, the relationship between a young woman and her boyfriend is examined. When I thought I knew the who, perhaps the why, I still had my resolve, my absolute certainty shaken, and my thoughts and feelings were turned on their head more than once. It is divided by genres, and includes folders for writing resources, book websit This group is dedicated to connecting readers with Goodreads authors. The killer is taking his victims in the coldest, most calculating way possible - engineering slow and painful deaths by poison, with his victims entirely unaware of the drugs flooding their bloodstream until it's too late.

The book started off so well, with a beginning I couldn’t have ever imagined and it just got better as it progressed. But Edinburgh, he discovers, is a long way from Lyon, and Elaine's killer has covered his tracks with meticulous care. Quinn, one of the key victims (in the 'before' chapters) was an amazing character, full of strength, love and vitality, so well written and well rounded, I felt as though I actually knew her. It's timely, tackling up-to-the minute issues in a realistic, relatable way as it ticks all the boxes for what you want in a great thriller. As with all series, it's ideal to start at the beginning to follow the character and relationships progression.

I’ve followed this series from the start and wow, this book is a great addition to an already fab series of books.

No one has any idea that Elaine could still be alive and is currently being hidden somewhere in Edinburgh. I have loved the series since Book One but in this Helen Fields is on fire, it really is a strap yourself ride into shock city. I literally could not put this one down it had me hooked from the first to the last page, it absorbs you in, full of suspense, tension and action and the character development is superb! From the get-go, we are flung right into the action, brought on a journey that grips you tight and never lets go, even to the last page – I can certainly say this book will stay with me for a long time. He left Interpol and his thriving career to come here and he wants to show the new team that he’s capable of handling the job. Since I don’t know the characters from start, my review will focus on the plot instead of interpersonal relationships.
