In comparison to Bath and Body Works and Victoria's Secret body washes, Philosophy's Cinnamon Buns is more expensive and doesn't leave a trace of the fragrance on skin after showering. The body wash smelled amazing, made my skin feel good and clean in the shower, but once my shower ended, so did all of those feelings and smell! Best of all you don't need very much whichever way you use it, as it is a high quality product and a little goes a long way. I have to say something about the packaging - I love Philosophy's little recipes printed on their bottles and this one is no exception.

I also decant this gel into a hand washing pump and have it on the side of the bathroom and kitchen, and that way I get to experience the cinnamon smell yet again! It lathered up pretty well and also created a decent amount of bubbles, though not as much as the cheap children's bubble bath I usually use. I was looking for a body wash that had a unique smell and that the fragrance would stay on skin after getting out of the shower. The smell is strong in the shower but is delicate afterwards, which I appreciate b/c i don't want to be a walking cinnamon bun.

Having resisted this urge I then pour a little of the slightly thick gel in my palm and start to lather. I have to say the gel actually looks a lot like the frosting spread on the buns (yes I am obsessed with those buns! In the shower, I apply a dime size of "Cinnamon buns" to a loofah and get a lather that can be used to wash my whole body.

The gel lathers really well and surrounds you with the cinnamon scent and is just a pleasure to use. I received some of these shower gels as a gift some time ago, and since then I have been on a mission to try more of the delightful scents. This is certainly nice as a treat and due to its cost I would rather use it as a body wash than for bubble baths as well as I use more for the bath. As a shower gel, it has a great feel on the skin, especially with a loofah, to lather for formula up.the gentle award-winning formula provides a rich, foaming lather, infused with the scent of sweet, fresh-baked cinnamon buns.
