The Seiko 5 Sports often have 100 meters of water resistance which is enough to safely swim with, while older models usually have around 30 meters, which is not enough. Sure, it isn’t the height of engineering, but it’s nowhere near as foul as the Jubilee-style bracelet that Seiko used on 5s in the 1970s and 1980s.
