If the socket you are covering is quite deep or perhaps has conduit wires in trunking going into the top or bottom of it, you may also need to purchase the spacershown in the link below. Since I wanted to remove the plug without taking the whole cover off the wall I simply removed one of the fins from the backplate (As you can see in the attached image), however this is not the intended use for the product so I have absolutely no complaints. When attaching this cover, ensure that the plug you want to use is already in place, as to release them you will need to remove the whole cover from the wall. This means it will work with surface mounted sockets with conduit wires going into the top or bottom of it.If the cover can be accommodated on your wall and you do not need to change the plug for the foreseeable future, this product offers you a way of permanently locking your plug in place.
