The style of the table dates it from around 1660 – 1710 and it’s likely that the table was supplied to Clifford’s Inn as new shortly after the fire. London had two Sheriffs who each held a court at his compter which also served as a prison for debtors and other prisoners. It was a three-part drama series under the title of Fallen Angel, starring Charles Dance and Emilia Fox.There are some 1600 decrees of the Court established by Parliament to settle disputes between landlords and tenants after the Fire. The Court's probate jurisdiction, claimed for beneficiaries of property within the City of London since 1230, also declined.
