About this deal

Thirdly, while it was published after Pariah, it works as an effective prequel to that novel, providing a natural evolution of Eisenhorn’s character between the end of Hereticus and the start of the Bequin trilogy. Not only does this have one of my all-time favourite story titles, but it’s also one of my favourite Eisenhorn stories.

Xenos (Novel) - Warhammer 40k - Lexicanum

Dan Abnett was born on 12th October 1965 in Rochdale Lancashire state found in the united kingdom and is male in gender. Eisenhorn is tangled up in a heretical cabal where he later successfully spies up and kills the murderer Murdin Eyclone who is well known as a massive killer. This is the 30th book, but considering Alex has survived "Kill Alex Cross" before, chances are he survives this one. It’s been a long, agonising wait to find out more about these characters and the mysteries surrounding them, but that wait is nearly over!

These are much more about the ensemble, with some familiar faces forming part of Ravenor’s warband, and with a different tone of voice to the first trilogy…but they’re fantastic too! Loose Cannons, a 4 part mini-series (drawn by Mark Harrison) for Marvel which was never published but has been put online. All the novels are available as individual ebooks, with Penitent coming soon, while there are also the Eisenhorn and Ravenor omnibuses. With a fresh voice and an unusual angle on the idea of an Inquisition story, this launched back in 2012 and blew minds with its mysteries and unexpected ideas. He has written over fifty novels, including the acclaimed Gaunt’s Ghosts series, the Eisenhorn and Ravenor trilogies, volumes of the million-selling Horus Heresy series, The Silent Stars Go By (Doctor Who), Rocket Raccoon and Groot: Steal the Galaxy, The Avengers: Everybody Wants To Rule The World, The Wield, Triumff: Her Majesty’s Hero, and Embedded. The three volumes of this series feel more closely linked than the Eisenhorn novels, so this is very much setting things up before the finale. This story tells the tale of how she came to be working with Ravenor, and while it’s suitably action-packed it’s also long enough to be able to really dig into this character in a satisfying way. NOTE: you’ll notice that I’ve included the micro-short Born to Us (released as an e-short back in 2012) at the end of the list, off on its own.

Xenos (Eisenhorn Trilogy 1) by Dan Abnett (2015-06-18)

He then escaped where he was later declared an outcast and was forced to do various other operatios as a rogue during the remainder of his great historical investigation. His work for Marvel includes runs on Death's Head 2, Battletide, Knights of Pendragon (all of which he co-created), The Punisher, War Machine, Annihilation: Nova and various X-Men titles.

One of the most interesting secondary characters in the series, Titus Endor’s story continues with this ominously-titled tale, which doesn’t feature Eisenhorn himself but is nevertheless an important part of the overall narrative. If you enjoyed this article and would like to support Track of Words, you can leave a tip on my Ko-Fi page. At the time of writing you can either get hold of now – or will be able to soon – all of the novels in one physical format or another. He may not be part of the Inquisition, but Drusher proves to be a compelling protagonist, his unusually naive viewpoint offering a fascinating external view on Eisenhorn and his companions, the work they do and the way in which they do it.
