About this deal

Vintage emulations include the TC Electronic Hall of Fame and Nova, as well as the Digitech RV-7, the Eventide Space, the Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail, and the strymon blueSky. To make it better I would add 1) MIDI or clock sync and 2) A soft touch momentary button instead of the stomp switch.

That's not all though, as the MS-70CDR has a few more tricks up its sleeve, the tail function provides a natural fade away for both reverbs and delays even when you're already playing the next phase. For example, if you look at my board (pictured below) I usually have the mono jacks of my two 70CDR’s isolated in bypass loop pedals, while the stereo jacks are fed into the effects loops of my Superego and Rubberneck, respectively. Whether you're a guitarist or a bass player, you can cut down the size of your pedalboard by adding an MS-70CDR. Recommended by many pundits to provide more sound options for a range of relatively cheap synthesizers (Volcas, Crave etc) which have fairly limited FX. This intuitive design makes creating, saving and rearranging effects and effects chains a breeze and allows easy navigation in both live and studio settings.

Modulation options is the answer and again the expensive pedals do it better but here the zoom can do a pretty good job. However there is a ‘Pitch Delay' effect which sounds a lot better, and you can always dial the ‘Time' down to zero and use it as a slightly better, more pleasant sounding pitch shifter, if you really want to.

Soon enough you find the quality of the effects in this little box are pretty good and you give it a place in your pedalboard to goof around with it. Vintage emulations include the TC Electronic Hall of Fame and Nova, as well as the Digitech RV-7, the Eventide Space, the Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail, and the Strymon BlueSky. I started out with this pedal for my synths, and it has been a great help understanding FX chains, and effects in general. Our cutting-edge ZFX-IV DSP microchip uses 32-bit floating-point calculations, giving it the ability to create sophisticated studio-quality effects such as rich, dense reverbs and realistic spatial simulations. For example, after playing a solo using a delay effect, even if you switch to a rhythm tone without delay, you'll continue to hear the sound of the solo delay fading away.

And all of a sudden this brave little multitool that felt like magic before now started to feel like the weakest link in the chain, dragging the sound quality down.

However, it's nice to know that those features are available, should you ever decide to explore that route!

The MS-70CDR's intuitive design allows easy navigation in both live and studio settings and makes creating, saving, and rearranging effects a breeze. The names are used only to illustrate sonic characteristics and do not indicate any affiliation with the Zoom Corporation or Zoom North America. I had one space on a Nano and needed a decent tuner and the most flexible, best sounding multi effects unit on the market for Bass and this is it. I myself have owned four MultiStomps and have personally never encountered this issue, and I believe it has to do with the grounding of the internal circuitry, somewhere.I haven't tried powering it with a wall wart but I don't see the need with all the phone chargers I have sitting around. Note: There are a few third-party softwares available on the internet (we won't mention the names) BUT these are unofficial softwares and could potentially damage the pedal.
