There are tons of different kinds of gaming mousepads out there, so there’s bound to be one for you. It’s got a middling thickness of 3mm, no stiched edges (at least not on the regular version; there are team versions for sale that do have stitched edges) and a medium to fast glide which is quite similar to what you’ll find on the QcK line. What you get is a medium speed mousepad with a decent amount of static friction and a lower amount of dynamic friction to allow for easier gliding. Straight out of the box (the G-SRcomes rolled up in the package) I almost felt worried that the pad wouldn’t stay where I put it due to it not immediately laying flat on my desk and the pad being so light.

On the G-SR II, the humidity issues have been dropped down to just a mild annoyance rather than a full-blown performance limiter, so that’s definitely nice to see. If you’re completely unsure we would recommend you to go for a nice middle-of-the-road cloth pad to start out with. This, in combination with the top texture feeling very consistent as well, makes for a mouse surface that feels extremely well-designed and crafted. I know that some people had complaints about the G-SR-SE’s surface irritating their skin after some time, and while I of course can’t speak for everyone I do believe that this change is going to make the pad feel a lot more tolerable to a lot of people out there. A slightly smoother glide feel makes it easier to start the mouse movement and more mobility in multiple and long distance aiming; while at the same time, maintains similar stopping power for stable control.If you would like your mousepad to control you a little bit it’s a good idea to go for the G-SR, if you want some more speed the QcK is a good pick. The pad’s stopping power also allows you to place your cursor precisely because even the slightest edge can lead to victory.
