About this deal

their moments <33 the bantering, the soft moments, AND SO MANY TROPES I NEVER KNEW I NEEDED BTWN THEM THAT I GOT SKHGSK LITERALLY WAS SCREAMING.

It appears someone has cursed them both, tying their lives and fates together so that any harm done to Apollo harms Evangeline, too, and vice versa. all that angst, sexual tension, JEALOUSY, hurting, THE PUSH AND PULL BETWEEN THEM, would kill anyone for her, the denial of their love for each other but it’s obvious that they’re each others one true love, JUST TO GIVE THEM THAT ENDING? perhaps it’s because he’s lost all that he’s ever loved and the thought of losing evangeline too — because he was selfish enough to let himself want her — is too great to bear.Well you know when the next book in a series is about to come out and you can't remember all the main details of the previous books? ALSO NOT CHAOS KILLING EVANGELINE🤡🤡 it was an accident but still😭) thank god marisol was barely in here. But here I have to make a disclaimer that though I am forever team Jacks I couldn't help but notice the amount of sexy men in this book!

I'd ask other characters to donate braincells to her but the other lot isn't much smarter and they definitely don't have braincells to spare. When she gets back to the arch, there is gold-flecked blood splattered across it, and she fears for Jacks’s life. The story itself was nothing too complicated, I loved the story of the archer and the fox and how it ties in. Hoping Tiberius knows something about the four missing stones, Evangeline plans a secret visit to his prison tower.

For Jacks, the Prince of Hearts, betrays Evangeline in the worst possible way, she swears she will never, ever trust this Fate again no matter how much she may be drawn to him or wonder if there could be a more human. While the ending didn’t make me bawl my eyes out as I thought it would — trust that I was full of hurt and indignation like the rest of you. All he wants are the four stones needed to open if which he didn’t even need Evangeline to help him find them. At first, he seems in control and almost tender, but then he suddenly rushes her and starts to choke her.

Before she comes to any conclusion, the door to the dining hall slams open and reveals a gravely wounded Jacks, gold and red blood spreading on his clothes. just took my last exam time to finish this series 😋 br w kaylee again <3 (make sure to check out her review! With his vampire strength, he helps open Glendora’s coffin, and there Evangeline indeed finds a stone on a chain. Along the way, she encounters dangers, leading to several edge-of-your-seat moments, and she uncovers some shocking truths that shed light on events from the previous book. She is interrupted by the old librarian who showed her this place, and he tells her she must hurry and find the four missing pieces of the arch, the four stones: one for luck, one for truth, one for mirth, and one for youth, so the arch can be opened. In her room, Evangeline briefly takes the mirth stone out to relieve the emotional pain she’s feeling but puts it away again when Apollo enters her room.

i love eva with my whole heart and i really hope that we will see more of her badass side in the future. I know some of you love the writing in it, and I won't deny it was better than the first book but it still came across as ordinary. his actions near the end show us how deeply he cares for evangeline, but he refuses to be that transparent with her. I was genuinely awed and horrified by his actions and all of these things he did to Evangeline were awful.Evangeline tries to get Chaos to change Jacks’s mind, but he, too, thinks it’s best for Jacks to let her go. He quickly catches on to the effect of the truth stone, but before he can snatch the stone from her, she asks him the one question that keeps pestering her: why does he want to open the arch? And then there’s just the entire part where they’re at the hollow together, I wish I could put that entire section in this review because it’s fucking everything. After Jacks uses the four stones to go back in time and save Evangeline from chaos, it is then IMPLIED that he sacrifices himself in her place. Owing to his betrayal in the previous book, Evangeline initially distrusts Jacks and regards him with a healthy dose of suspicion.
