About this deal

The inquest, which was held at the Dafydd Orwig Chamber in Caernarfon, was adjourned to a future date pending further investigation.

I didn’t realise it at the time, but the terrible kidnap would inspire my book, The Child Taker years later. Analysis of the Land Rover's telematics - a location-tracking SIM card - revealed it had parked at Porth Dafarch beach, a short walk from Gerry's home near the Anglesey coastal path at the time of the murder. Intertwined with this is a serial killer, who is obsessed with a now caught serial killer, Peter Moore. He certainly knows how to grab your attention from the start and he dangles enough bait in front of your nose to keep that attention all the way through the book. year-old Mathew Hardman stabbed her to death, performed a bizarre ritual, cut her heart out, placing it on a si.Once police contact told me: "If I told you what was found in that house you would never believe me. DCI Brian Kearney of North Wales police said: “Gerald Corrigan was the victim of a barbaric, medieval-style execution in one of the safest parts of the UK. Detectives said they were following several lines of inquiry but no arrests were made before the end of the year. Oh my giddy aunt, ‘The Anglesey Murders: Unholy Island’ is one seriously brilliant and gripping book that had me on the edge of my seat throughout.

I read the book while we were in Anglesey and could walk down to the beach at Trearddur Bay to consider the first crime scene in the book in person. When psychological profiler Tony Hill comes across a series of suicides among women tormented by vicious online predators, he begins to wonder if there is more to these tragedies than meets the eye. Along with hundreds of other people there that day I was deeply affected by the attack, which led to a long-term interest in the motivation and mind set of criminal gangs. In particular, I really did like the character of Detective Inspector Alan Williams and took to him from the start. As the first book in the series it is difficult to work out which officers are part of DI Alan Williams' team and how they will gel together but I particularly liked the way in which each member of the teams had plenty to do and were given responsibility to follow through on actions.Set on Anglesey it follows DI Alan Williams and his partner DS Kim Davies as body after body washes up on the shores. Determined to stop the horrific deaths, Imogen is forced to act as bait - but will she get caught in her own trap? There were moments where I dreaded turning the page or I almost had to read through my fingers as I feared what was awaiting me over the page.

He initially lied to police and said he had been at his home on Anglesey at the time of the shooting, but later said he had been near Corrigan’s home because he was having a sexual encounter with a friend. It is thought he assaulted over 40 men and he was arrested and charged with four murders, which he’d committed in as many months. We'll send you a roundup of the latest cases from our reporters in the courts at Caernarfon, Llandudno and Mold.

She always had a smile on her face and was always caring, loving and willing to help anyone, especially her family who she cherished. I love police procedurals even though I do wonder if crime fiction is getting a bit over-saturated with them, however, this one was a breath of fresh air.

The Anglesey Murders is just crying out to be a holiday read, when you can get yourself lost within the story. A punchbag, with holes that suggested it had been used for crossbow target practice, was seized from his home. Photograph: BBC View image in fullscreen Terence Whall was arrested in connection with Corrigan’s death on 25 June. Two months before the killing Hardman had told the 16-year-old German student he thought she was one of a community of local vampires.I enjoyed reading new-to-me author Conrad Jones’ book, which has an intricate but tightly woven storyline with good twists and engaging protagonists. It is gripping right from THAT prologue, I enjoyed the references to the historical murders committed by Peter Moore and the police trying to ascertain the link between now and then…copycat or something more sinister. All I can say is that once that scene has passed, the story takes on a life of its own as the author spins a tale about conspiracy, violence and hard working detectives trying to stop it all.
