About this deal

Safety is our top priority – so all bathroom products from BabyBjörn comply with the relevant safety requirements for plastic in both Europe and the USA. It only has to be adjusted to the toilet seat once for a great fit every time, though note that this means it’ll need to be adjusted for any toilet seat that’s a different size, so moving it from room to room may not be practical. This streamlined potty chair is similar to the Björn model, but it does lack the armrests and the splash guard is a bit lower. We also used it last summer on a road trip, both my two youngest (almost 2 and almost 4 at the time) at one point had to go so badly after sitting in traffic for hours, so we pulled off to the side of the road and got it out.

Once closed, this potty can be used as a step stool to get onto the toilet or to prop their feet up for better positioning when using the bathroom. The seat is sturdy and comfortable once your child is on it, and my daughter definitely liked having something to hold on to. There’s nothing remarkable or unremarkable about the Oxo potty training seat—and that’s one of the reasons parents seem to love it. All the issues with ergonomics still apply when you get to using the larger potty, but if you’re not bothered about that, this is a rather nifty system. That deep squat position that’s so helpful in keeping toddlers regular – how can you get that using an adapter seat?As every parent knows, when the kid is happy, they’re far more likely to do something you want them to do. But Take Note: There’s no grippy material on the bottom, so it might move around a bit on hard floors. There were little outlines of a child’s feet on the bottom rung, and she placed hers over them and smiled every time. Here’s something they don’t tell you: The potty training process is going to take a lot longer than you anticipate. It still took extra time to wrap up potty training, but I’m certain this chair saved us months of frustration.

You may find that you have a kid who refuses to enter into public restrooms or a porta potty, because they’re too loud or seem too scary. Secure and anti-slip: the 16cm wide step, made of tpe material, offers exceptional stability, preventing any wobbling The legs fold up for an even more compact footprint, and it comes with a durable plastic bag to stash it in whenever it’s not in use. When choosing the best potty training seat, consider your needs, your child’s temperament and size, and how the seat will fit into your lifestyle.Look for a seat with a soft, padded insert that can provide extra comfort and encourage your child to use the toilet more willingly. I can’t tell you how many times this travel potty has saved my daughter from having an accident in the car. Additionally, opt for a seat with a splash guard, which will help prevent any messes from occurring when boys are using the toilet. And while all of the features are exciting, we also think they could be a bit of a distraction from the real task at hand. Some are adjustable, some are removable, and some come as an integrated seat, where you can just lift the training seat up to reveal the adult seat.

For a more stable option to use on harder floors, we love the anti-slip bottom on the Beaba Ergonomic Training Potty. The brand makes seats with many different characters, so if your little one prefers Elmo or the cast of “Paw Patrol,” you’re in luck. When you have a kid who doesn’t want to toilet train, sometimes you need to pull out all the stops, as in finding a potty chair bedecked in the faces of their favorite TV show characters. One of the best features is the adjustable seat, something we found to be rare in the world of potty training seats. We therefore ask you to carefully examine the toilet seat before removing the seat from its wrapper.

a seat that goes on the toilet is that it constantly needs to be manually emptied and wiped clean—by you. It’s stable as both a chair and toilet seat, although we did find that it shifts a bit when a child sits on top of it, it’s not a dealbreaker. We consulted Mona Amin, DO, FAAP, a board-certified pediatrician, developmental expert, and founder of Peds Doc Talk; Christine Brown, a child behavior coach, sleep consultant, and founder of Bella Luna Family; and Michelle Swaney, a potty training consultant, speaker, teacher, and CEO of The Potty School.
